Studies On National Standard Draft-National Standard Greening Pattern And Technical Regulations Of Tree Species Selection In Highway Corridor Engineering

Ministry of Communications, PRC had constituted some standards on highway greening. And some local government also did such specifications. As an indivisible part of these highway corridor greening stipulations, a set of specific standard greening pattern and regulations of tree species selection were needed in stringency.Highway corridor greening status and related criteria at home and abroad were collected. The draft National Standard Greening Pattern and Technical Regulations of Tree Species Selection in Highway Corridor Engineering was stipulated after analysising highway corridor greening status and related criteria and at home and abroad combining with the investigation on the greening mode and plant materials used at present. The main content of this draft national standard was as following:1. Principles of greening pattern of aimed highway corridor and tree species selection;2. A variety of greening mode for different geography condition and for different classes of roads;3. Standard procedure for selecting suitable tree species for highways;4. A checklist of specific suitable tree species for each area recommended;At last, some proposals were bring forward for emending of this standard and for stipulating other related standards considering development of the ecological, social, political and economic factors and sciences and technologies.
