The Study Of Information Users Education For Agricultural Under Network Environment

The study on the agricultural university users' information requirements and the channels to gather information under network environment is an essential componential part of agricultural universities' information management and education of resource utilization. Based on the developmental trend of information literature review and existing characteristics, the study, starting with the concepts of information and users, holds the point that the education of users is not only an essential function of library, but also an prerequisite for universities' users to improve the utilization ratio of information. a way of the quality training and a basis of lifelong education. With the development of the network users' education and the trend of study at home and abroad, the study takes teachers, graduates and undergraduates from animal science of agricultural universities as the questionnaire objectives to study their informational cognition, tools for information retrieval systems and the users' requirements for information education. On the basis of the questionnaire research and analysis of x~2 testing on the channels to obtain information and differences among various users, etc. , the study indicates that in the future information education , university users should be divided into groups, having different emphasis on the teaching contents : teacher group should put more attention to the application of database and strengthening the knowledge introduction of searching engines; Graduate group should stress the recognition and the application of database; And undergraduates should have much training contents on professional periodicals, references and database.
