In this research, the test of field of Bletilla striata (Thunb) (B. striata) is conducted in Zhengan country in Guizhou province. The effects of application fertilizer on nutrition characteristic of B. striata and output were studied by preparing different treatments of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). Main conclusions are as follows:1. Under the natural condition (without applying fertilizer), N and P nutrient were mainly assigned in the tuber of B. striata; P element mainly was assigned in the stem and leaf of B. striata. During initial period of growth of B. striata, there were not large differences in accumulation quantity of calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) in the different parts of B. striata. With the increase of dry weight, there was a decline in accumulation of calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) in the different parts of B. striata. The accumulation quantity of trace element of zinc (Zn), iron (Fe), and manganese (Mn) in the different parts of B. striata decreased in the order of the new proliferation tuber > the next year tuber > the old tuber >the stem and leaf.2.The change trend of accumulation quantity of N in B. striata was S-type due to different treatments of N, P, and K. The change trend of accumulation quantity of P and K in B. striata was same. Namely, the change trend of accumulation quantity of P and K in the stem and leaf of B. striata was increased-decreased-increased. But fluctuation of accumulation quantity of P and K in the tuber of B. striata was small. Proportion of the sixth treatment (N2P3K1) (namely, N of 12 kg, P2O5 of 10.5 kg, and K2O of 3.0 kg each unit of area) had the better promotion effect on uptake of Ca, Mg, Zn, Fe, and Mn by B. striata.3. R value analysis of effect of N, P, and K on polysaccharide indicated that application quantity of P and K had the biggest and smallest effect on content of polysaccharide, repectively. But mixture application of N, P and K, just as N of 12 kg, P2O5 of 7.0-10.5 kg, and K2O of 3.0-9.0 kg each unit of area, had the optimal effect on content of polysaccharide remarkably enhanced content of polysaccharide in the tuber of B. striata. The effect of application quantity of N, P, and K on content of protein in the tuber of B. striata decreased in the order of K>P>N.4. Effect of applied fertilizer on output of tuber of B. striata suggested that rapid increase period of tuber of B. striata was 15, July to 15, September. The greatest effect of application quantity of N, P, and K on output of B. striata is Nitrogen, next to Phosphorus, potassium is least. The results also indicated that N of 6-12 kg, P2O5 of 7.0 -10.5 kg, and K2O of 3.0-9.0 kg each unit of area remarkably enhanced output of B. striata. In this experiment, effects of application quantity of fertilizer on the nutrition uptake dynamic and content of polysaccharide, protein, and output of B. striata were studied by a series of tests of different proportion of N, P, and K. The rational proportion of N, P, and K mainly influencing output and quality of B. striata was explored. The results provided the theoretical basis of instructing production of B. striata and rational application of fertilizer.
