Seventeen representative bamboo species in Phyllostachys Sieb.et Zucc., in Anji BambooMuseum and Garden, Zhejiang Province, were chosen to be dealed with injecting Se into culmand controlled trail in early March,2006 and 2007;The Se content of bamboo shoots, whichwere collected in Shooting period, have been determined. The aim was to choose the betterSe-enriched species. Eight experimental spots of 7 villages and towns in Fuyang, ZhejiangProvince, Chunjian, Yongchang, Xukou, Xindeng, Dongqiao, Wanshi, Yaokou and Luxi inHuyuan, have been selected for study the species distribution of Se in Phyllostachys praecoxCV. prevernalis Stand soil and bio-availability of selenium. Continuous four years-Orthogonaledesign L18(61×36)and L9(34) have been used in newly P. praecox CV. prevernalis Stand inYun'er, Chunjian country to study the absorption regulation of Se in P. praecox CV. prevernalis,to find an approach to increase the Se content of bamboo shoots and to provide a low-cost andhigh-efficient eating-source for people in Se-lacked area. The main results are as follows:1. The natural Se content of bamboo shoots of seventeen species is very different. Afterinjecting Na2SeO3 solution in culms, we found that, the Se-enriched ability reflected onbamboo shots is also different in the experimental bamboo species. The Se content of P. meyeriMcClure and P. nuda McClure is maximal, and The Se content of P.praecox CV.prevernalis is medium.2. The natual Se contents of experimental soils in eight spots have been determined, theresult shows that, the natual Se content of 0-15cm soil layer is positively more than that of15-30cm soil layer, it is because Se element is easy to enriched with organic matters, and thecontent of organic matters of 0-15cm soil layer is more than that of 15-30cm soil layer. Thetotal Se content of 0-15cm soil layer in different spots were notable different, the probability isless than 0.1. the natual Se content of Yongchang topsoil reached 0.4856 mg·kg-1(air-dried soil),greatly exceeding the arithmetic mean of Se content in China's topsoil, and others were locatedaround mean. To determine the content of apiece selenium form, it shows that, Se extracted by5%K2S2O8-1:1HNO3 is the predominated Se form in these soils, because of its commensal with sulfide.3. The natual Se contents of apiece apparatus in experimental spots have been determined, the result shows that Se content of leaf is highest, the mean is 0.1328mg per 1kg dry matter, Secontent of bamboo shoots is second, with mean of 0.0670 mg per 1kg dry matter, and otherswere lower terribly, with little difference.4. The Se content of leaf of the same bamboo in the same bamboo rhizome system, before injecting and after injecting Na2SeO3 in others' culms, were determined, the result shows thatSe nutrition could be transferred from the injected leaf to non-injected leaf, the bamboo leafbecome the bank and the source of Se nutrition.5. The correlation analysis of Se concent between different Se apiece forms of soil, andbetween that and main bamboo apparatus in eight experimented spots have been carried out,the result shows that, in 0-15cm soil layer, Se extracted by 5%K2S2O8-1:1HNO3 and residualSe content were strongly positively linear related to the total Se content of soil respectively, and Se extracted by 0.25mol·L-1KCl is strongly positively linear related to the content oforganic matters, the available Se extracted by NaHCO3 is strongly negatively linear related topH-value. We also found that, The Se content in bamboo rhizome is positively related to theavailable Se in soil extracted by NaHCO3, and the Se content in bamboo shoot, leaf, branchand culm are positively related and strongly positively related to the Se content in bamboorhizome respectively; The correlation between Se content of apiece forms of 15-30cm soillayer and each apparatus of bamboo has not been discovered.6. Continuous four years-Orthogonale fertilizing test [L18(61×36)]was performed, theresult shows that, the accumulative Se content increased with Na2SeO3 concentration, when theNa2SeO3 concentration exceed 2000mg·L-1, the accumulative Se content decreased; theaffection to Se content of bamboo shoots of Na2SeO3 dosage is similar with Na2SeO3concentration; as for as fertilizing mode, injecting in culms and spraying on the leaf precededfertilizing in soil, but spraying on the leaf is always affected by environmental factors, forexample, leaching of rainwater usually decreased the Se accumulation of bamboo shoots; thedifferent matched ratio of fertilizer was also the influence factor; although Borax is propitiousto the increase of quality of bamboo shoots, it showed restrain effect to the Se accumulation ofbamboo shoots.7. the best fertilizing scheme was: Se concentration 2000mg·L-1, dosage 20-25mL,injecting selenium in culms, and fertilizing carbamide 1500kg·hm-2, superphosphate 500kg·hm-2, kalium sulfate 375 kg·hm-2. To calculate the engineering average, the Se content offresh bamboo shoots after fertilizing according to the best scheme is forecasted, the result is0.6583mg per 1 kg fresh bamboo shoots. The safe edible abio-selenium content is 0.1 to 1.0 mgper 1 kg fresh matters, the result is in the bound.
