The Research On Biological Characteristics And Growth Habit Of Tree Peony And Peony From New-introduction Varieties

Tree Peony and Peony are traditional famous flowers of China. Biological characteristics and growth habit of tree peony and peony were studied in this paper.Budding date have discrepancy in tree peony different variety.'Zhushalei'is early than any other in the field of burgeons, the number of bud is 35, the diameter of bud is 4.3cm.the number of bud of'doulv'is 6, the diameter of bud is 0.5cm. There are two style of plant. The style of plant of'number18','chunhongjiaoyan','fengdanbai'and'doulv'is style of erection. The style of other plant is half-erection. There are 7 style of flower. Most of tree peony belong to style of chrysanthemum. The plant height of'number18','chunhongjiaoyan','danfengbai'and'yaohuang'is more than 60cm. The plant height of'zhushalei','yinhongqiaodui'and'wujinyaohui'is less than 50cm. The plant height of'fengdanbai'is 77cm. it is the hightest one. On the other hand, The plant height of'wujinyaohui'is only 37cm.Budding date have not any discrepancy in peony different variety. The budding date of every variety of peony is same time all most. The best is'qinwen'and'fenmiantaohua'in the field of burgeons. The better is'xiyanghong'.'zhongshengfen'and'dafugui'. The budding percent of'taohuafeixue'is less than any other. The best of growth and development is'xiyanghong','fenmiantaohua','qinwen'and'zhongshengfen'. They all grow strong and fast. The better of growth and development is'yuezhaoshanhe','zihuachaoyang','xuefeng','qihuashuanglu'and'dafugui'. The worst of growth and development is'taohuafenxue'. It bud is later than any other. growth and development is slow. There are 6 style of flower in peony. Most is rose-style. Most of peony is red flower. The number of bud of'qinwen','zhongshengfen'and'dafugui'is more than any other. The florescence of'fenmiantaohua'and'taohuafeixue'are short from 11 days to 20 days. The florescence of'qihuashuanglu'and'dafugui'are long. The florescence is 21days. The florescence of'fenmiantaohua'is only 9days. The longest of florescence is 24 days.Eventually, biological characteristics and growth habit of 12 variety tree peony and 10 variety peony were described on the basis of experiment data.
