Two experiments were carried out to study the effects of different energy and protein on the ewes,of which the ovulation, gonadatropin level and the conception rate were studied.Experiment 1:Effects of different energy on ewe's reproduction. Choose 36 healthy crossbred ewes ( Black-Suffolk♂×Small Tail Han Sheep♀);The standard energy(2004)was the moderate energy,the high and low one was increased or reduce 25%. The experiment was in single actor design and every group had 12 ewes. The results showed that:(1)The number of corpus luteum of high energy group's was more than the low and the middle one's 1.625 and 0.86,increased 81.3%(P < 0.05),43%(P > 0.05)respectively. Meanwhile,the number of follicle of low energy group was more than the middle and the high one's 3.22(50.5%,P < 0.05)and 3.63(56.9%,P < 0.05);(2)With the increasing energy,the quantity of the secretion of FSH and LH got down in turn,during which the low group was higher than that of moderate and high one's(P < 0.05),While there was no difference between the other two(P > 0.05).Experiment 2:Effects of different protein on ewe's reproduction. The standard protein of ewe was the middle one, the high and low one was increased or reduce 20%. This experiment was focused on different protein level in diet having influence on the ovulation,the secretion of FSH and LH,BUN and pregnancy rate. The results indicated that:(1)The effects of different protein was little on the number of corpora lutea and FSH, the difference was not significant among them(P > 0.05). The number of corpora lutea of high protein group increased 0.5(26.6%),0.13(5.78%) than the low and the middle one's(.2)With the rising protein in the three groups,the concentration of the secretion of follicle stimulating hormone(FSH)was got rising accordingly. The low group was lower than the middle and the high one's(23.7%, P < 0.05),(25.2%,P < 0.05),but there had not difference between the moderate and high one'(sP > 0.05)(.3)The blood urea nitrogen of high group was more than the others 38.25 mg·100mL-(1P < 0.05)and 22.02 mg·100mL-(1P < 0.05),all of three groups had significant differences(P < 0.05),this showed that the BUN was influenced by the protein of the diet.(4)Of the conception rate of crossbred ewes among the three groups,the moderate one was the best on(e91.7%),followed by low on(e75%)and (58.3%);The middle one was higher than the high(33.4%,P < 0.05)and the low one(16.7%,P > 0.05),which indicated that the level of protein in the diet has significant influence on the conception;No matter the high one or the low one,all of them had lower conception rate.
