The genetic Polymorphism of six microsatellite loci LSCV043, GC101, 471U, Bulge5, BMS2508 and 300U,which were associated closely to the gene FecB,were analyzed in 148 sheep of five sheep populations (Small Tail Han sheep,Hu sheep,Zang sheep,Dorset sheep, F1 of Dorset♂×Small Tail Han sheep♀). The 6 microsatellite loci were analyzed by vertical non-denatured popycrylamide gel electrophoresis(PAGE) figures,expectly we chose three microsatellite loci LSCV043, BMS2508 and 300U and studyed on the litter size of Small Tail Han sheep .The results were as follows:There were 54 alleles in five populations. The numbers of alleles for these six microsatellite loci were 22, 4, 3, 8 and 23 in five sheep populations. The four microsatellite loci of LSCV043, BMS2508,300U and Bulge5 were highly polymorphic loci. The average PIC Ne and H of Small Tail Han sheep,Hu sheep, Zang sheep, Dorset sheep, F1 of Dorset♂×Small Tail Han sheep♀were 0.680/5.60/0.736, 0.561/3.21/0.647, 0.621/4.21/0.699, 0.606/3.88/0.693 and 0.661/4.89/0.728. The genetic variation in Small Tail Han Sheep was the highest ,and in Zang Sheep was the lowest.These five populations, DA standard genetic distance was between 0.1995 and 0.3461, the Small Tail Han sheep and F1 of Dorset♂×Small Tail Han sheep♀were the nearest ,the Small Tail Han sheep and the Dorse were the farest (0.3461). These five populations, DS standard genetic distance was between 0.0547~0.3272. The Dorset sheep and F1 of Dorset♂×Small Tail Han sheep♀were the nearest, the Small Tail Han sheep and the Dorse were the farest.There was a litter difference between the dendrograms on the distance of DA and DS.In the LSCV043 locus, the least squaresmeans of genotpye 139/115bp was the higest (3.67 born/litter); In the BMS208 locus, the least squaresmeans of genotpye 178/166bp was the higest (4.00 born/litter); In the 300U locus, the least squaresmeans of genotpye 172/156bp was the higest (4.00 born/litter).
