The objective of this research was to evaluate the effects of factors in heated xylose compound protective disposal methods on protein protection. Soybean meal was used as an example meanwhile xylose was used as protective agent .On the basis of this experiment, 4 different kinds of sugar were investigated to evalue the protective effects in order to explore feasible theories of others sugar used as protective agent. At last, animal test based on soybean meal protected by xylose was carried out to study the effects of protected soybean meal on cattle growth performance and ration digestibility.Exp 1: Study of the protective effects of xylose on soybean meal. The objective of this trial was to investigate impact of factors on protective effects. meanwhile the best combination was selected. Concentration of supplemented xylose were 1% and 3%,while the heated temperature were 90℃,105℃,120℃and 140℃respectively, and the heated period were 20min,40min,90min seperately. All the catties were desgined to 24 treatments randomly. Nylon sack method and three step procedure were carried out to assess rumen degradability and intestinal digestibility. The results indicated that with the increase of heating temperature and period as well as concentration of supplemented xylose, rumen undegradable protein and intestinal absorptive protein increased gradually. In addition, intestinal absorptive protein of all the treatments was higher than the control significantly(P<0.05),at the same time nine combinations (>50%)were selected, therein much absorptive protein could be obtained under the condition of 140℃-90min-3%,140℃-90min-1%,while 105℃-90min-1% appeared to be more economic in practice.Exp 2: Study of impact of different sugar on 4 kinds of meal protein. On the basis of trial 1, under the condition of 140℃-90min-3%,4 kinds of sugar (X,G,F,S) were used to protect soybean meal, canol meal, rapeseed meal and peanut meal. meanwhile compared with formaldehyde protection, three step procedure was used to evalue rumen degradability and intestinal digestibility. The results indicated that among 4 kinds of sugar (X,G,F,S) ,X was better than formaldehyde,G,S,F took second place, while protective effects of S,F was not good;soybean meal and rapeseed meal were sensitive to protective disposal.Exp 3: Study of the effects of protected soybean meal on growth performance and nutrients digestibility of lactating dariy cattle.40 middle productive Chinese Holstein catties were allocated to 4 groups according to partnership design. 10 in each group, including the control(invariable gross, protective soybean meal accounted for 0%),group 1 (invariable gross, protective soybean meal accounted for 50%),group 2(invariable gross, protective soybean meal accounted for 75%),group 3(invariable gross, protective soybean meal accounted for protective soybean meal accounted for 100%).Ratio of concentrate and roughage was 6:4,transition period was 7 days and feeding period was 60 days to determine the effects of protected soybean meal proportion on cattle growth performance and nutrients digestibility. The results indicated that diets supplemented with protected soybean meals could improved milk production as well as concentration of milk protein, fat and DM.growth performance of catties in group3(protective soybean meal accounted for 100%) were highest, milk yield was 1.56kg, while concentration of protein, fat and DM in milk were0.08%,0.32%and 0.41%than control respectively. Supplemented with protective soybean meal had no effect on total tract digestibility of DM,CP and OM,but increase total tract digestibility of ADF,NDF.
