| Forestry has become an important part of the economy in the country, and all problems offorestry are based on forest resources. GIS used as the analysis tool of spatial management,which is an Indispensable modern tool in the forestry area, and is widely used in themanagement of forest resources.This paper applied the GIS technolOge, and consist of investigate data, Geographicelements, stand division boundaries and major investigate data, and applied in the investigationof forest resources, in the analysis of resources, in the forest management and any otheractivities in forestry. In addition, the main index introduced in this paper were monopolizedcircle and uniform index, both all of them were Embedded in the system, by doing this, themethod which was aimed to measure and to prove in the uniformity of pattern by uniformindex was achieved.This system based on MO (MapObjects), and the forestry spatial management informationsystem was built on the platform of Visual Basic, the data was organized and managed by theMapObjects, which was developed by the company of ESRI, and the properties data waspreserved and managed by using the soft of SQL Server 2000, in addition, the properties datadatabase was connected by ADO(ActiveX Data Objects, ActiveX data object), finally, the softof forest resources management system was finished and can be used in practice. Then theforest resources can be dynamically managed and monitored from the map, the status andchanges of the forest resources can be seen, and which will be truer and more intuitionistic.This paper described the function, the achieve method and the result to be show in detail,and the system was divided to four modules which were explained as follows:(1) Basic function modules: User login and management, file load (eg, shape,coverage, image file and so on).(2) Spatial data management modules: Show the maps which has multilayer structure, suchas river layers, road layers and administrative division layers, and so on. Map zooming in andout, Use the mouse wheel to zoom map, image registration, rendering elements, drawingGraphic characters, the adding of data elements, such as the drawing of points, lines andpolygons, the measurement of distance and area, and the print out of themes map, and so on.(3)Uniform index application: To draw the monopolized circle, to calculate the uniformindex, to determine the pattern and to analyze the trees' spatial distribution in the forestland byusing the data.This paper in some cases studied components GIS development method in theenvironment of Visual Basic, and the uniform index was practiced and proved in it, moreover, the uniform index's feasibility was proved. |
