Study And Development Of Dairy Management Software

21st Century is the epoch of digitization, informatization and networking, computerhas been used in all spheres of our social, and computer application will be a new projectof animal husbandry development, no exception with the dairy industry. ManagementInformation System is a combined application of computer technology and managementscience. Based on the data of the large modern dairy farm, by using of databasetechnology and information management technology, the issue of informatization ofdairy management was studied, and dairy management software was developed.Major coverage of the thesis:The characteristic of dairy management and the implications of MIS were brieflyintroduced, and the relationship between dairy management and information wassimultaneously explained.By using of Visual Basic 6.0, Access and Crystal Report, according to the prototypemethod researching and developing idea in the software engineering, dairy managementinformation system was designed and developed. This system realized several function,such as record keeping dairy management information, real time feedback of theinformation, comprehensive management of dairy reproduction, statistic analysis ofproduction data, standardization of breeding data and so on.The situation and problems was also described, and the trend of informatization ofdairy management was discussed in the end.The task of demand analysis, system design, functional design, database design,report design, program compilation and debugging were accomplished by this study;referring predecessor research, the problems of imformatization of dairy managementwere studied. According to the prototype method researching and developing idea in thesoftware engineering, the design of the software was combined with technology ofdatabase and report, and can be updated to network application. Our study laid a strongfoundation for using and industrialization of the software, and provided the reference fordairy farm management. Analyses of these problems were meaningful in technical innovation and managements of dairy farms.
