Five primers were designed to amplify IGFⅡgene and SNPs were detected by PCR-SSCP in 85 Jilin white goose meat stock population. The population genetic construction and the correlation between SNPs and growth and carcass traits were analyze&The result of PCR-SSCP showed that no SNP was found in exon2 region ofIGFⅡin the experimental population, the detected allele had been fixed in this population. One SNP was found in exon3 region of IGFⅡ(A→G), sequence analogy indicated that it was a silent mutation, and the amino sequence was not change. The frequencies of wild-type allele (A) and mutant allele (B) were 0.8353 and 0.1647 respectively. Three genotypes were detected in this population, the genotypic frequency were 1.7647, 0.0947 and 0.1412 respectively. Chi-square criterion indicated that there was a significant different (P<0.05) between the distribution of observed and theory ratio, and this SNP loci was not in hardy-Weinberg equilibrium status.The result of early growth and development showed that the intensity of growth was comparatively large within four weeks for Jilin white goose, the relative growth was very sharp among 1~3 weeks, the relative growth were 1.39,1.19 and 0.6 respectively. The daily gain at the age of 6 weeks is most large (50.99g) and descended slowly after six weeks. The growth peak of Jilin white goose located between 4 to 6 weeks.Association between SNPs of IGFⅡgene and meat trait were carried out by statistical analysis with SPSS software package (version 12.0), result showed thatIn growth traits, AA genotype birds were significant lower than BB genotype birds for six week body weight mean (p<0.05); There were significant deviation between BB genotype and AA, AB genotype in seven body weight (p<0.05); AA genotype birds were significant lower than BB genotype bird for 8 week body weight (p<0.05). There were no significant influence for new hatched and 1~5 weeks weight.In carcass trait, AA genotype birds were significant lower than BB genotype birds for half wipe chest weight (p<0.05); There were significant difference in liver weight between BB and AA, AB genotypes birds (p<0.05); AA genotype birds were significant lower than BB genotype birds for leg weight (p<0.05). There were not significant level for whole wipe chest, chest weight, and wing weight,This investigation revealed that there were significant influence of IGFII gene on poultry meat trait, B allele is beneficial gene. IGFⅡgene can be used in marker assistant selection in Jilin white goose, so as to minimize breeding cost, increase selecting progress speed.
