The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of dietary Metabolizable Energy(ME), Crude Protein(CP) and Lysine(Lys) levels on the growth performance, slaughter performance, growth of some tissues and organs, blood biochemical measurements of Yangzhou goslings under the same protein and energy ratio. In a3×4factorial arrangement, there were3ME and CP levels(10.83MJ/Kg and15%,11.29MJ/Kg and16%,11.75MJ/Kg and17%) and4Lysine levels(0.65%,0.80%,0.95%,1.10%).The results showed that,(1)There were no significant differences in body weight of Yangzhou goslings at the age of6、8、10week between the different levels of ME and CP (P>0.05).While it was significantly effected by Lysine levels (P<0.05).The ME and CP levels reduced the average daily feed intake and the ratio of feed (P<0.05).While the Lysine levels had a significantly effected on the average daily gain (P>0.05).(2)As the ME and CP levels increased,Abdominal fat rate increased(P<0.05).Dietary Lysine levels had no significant effect on carcass characteristics (P>0.05).(3)The weight and index of the thymus and the bursa fabricius in0.65%Lysine levels were the highest between the Lysine levels (P<0.05).(4)The Lysine levels had a significantly effected on the concentration of serum urea nitrogen (P<0.05),While there were no significant differences in the concentration of the serum urea nitrogen,Total Cholesterol and triglyceride (P>0.05).(5)There was no significant interaction effects between ME,CP and Lysine levels except on the body weight of6weeks’old and the weight of thymus. These results indicate that dietary energy and protein levels does not affect5~10wk Yangzhou goose’s lysine requirements keeping protein and energy ratio as a fixed variable. The dietary energy, protein and lysine requirements for5~10wk Yangzhou goose were11.29MJ/Kg,16%and0.65%,respectively.
