Maize is one of the main staple and feed crops in China,playing an important role in agriculture production.Maize has many different varieties,which yield and quality have big distinction.The objectives of this study are to effectively identify variety and to conserve and utilize the superior genetic resources. Protein and DNA fingerprinting of eleven maize variety were established by biochemistry marker(salt-soluble protein) and molecular marker(RAPD,ISSR).We have also clustering analysis.The results were summarized as follows:1. An extraction system suitable for salt-soluble protein of maize seed was developed,clear and high resolution bands were obtained with appropriate salt-soluble protein extraction and gel electrophoresis throughout the experiment process.2. An RAPD reaction system suitable for maize was developed.Three primers were selected,which gave clear,stable,repeated and high resolution DNA fingerprinting.3. An ISSR reaction system suitable for maize was developed.four primers were selected,which gave clear,stable,repeated and high resolution DNA fingerprinting.4. We got consistency result from clustering analysis of three marker technics.5. Protein and DNA fingerprinting can be considered as the criteria of identifying variety.
