In order to select optimum anti-fluorine Compound Danggui Powders, four kinds of preparations were designed in this study according to the traditional Chinese medicine theory, which are anti-fluorine Compound Danggui PowdersⅠ, anti-fluorine Compound Danggui PowdersⅡ, anti-fluorine Compound Danggui PowdersⅢand anti-fluorine Compound Danggui PowdersⅣ, respectively. And then the animal experiment was developed to observe and analyze the therapeutic effect and anti-fluorine mechanism of these compounds.66 Wistar rats with initial weight of 100±10g were selected and divided into 7 groups in random. Group A was negative control, administered normal tap water of 0.1g/kg by per os and drunk randomly with normal water; group B was positive control, administered normal tap water of 0.1g/kg by per os and drunk randomly with water that contained 100mg/mL fluorine; group C, D, E, F and G were experimental groups, administered primitive Compound Danggui Powders, anti-fluorine Compound Danggui PowdersⅠ,Ⅱ,ⅢandⅣof 0.1g/kg by per os, respectively, and drunk randomly with water that contained 100mg/mL fluorine. Experimental period was 90 days with every 5 days period of treatment and 2 days of interval. The contents of fluorine in urine and feces were determined every 15 days and the contents of total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC), Superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), Glutathion peroxidase (GSH-Px) and malonaldehyde (MDA) of fluorine in plasma, liver and kidney were examined at the end of experiment.The results showed that, all kinds of chronic fluorosis symptoms were appeared in positive control group and pathologic model of chronic fluorosis was successfully developed. Damaged dental was appeared significantly postponed and the ratio of 2 degree detal damage was reduced, the absorption of fluorine was reduced and the excretion of fluorine was increased, and the content of fluorine in bone was reduced significantly, the peroxidation damage was alleviated obviously in experimental groups compared to positive control group. In conclusion, the anti-fluorine Compound Danggui PowdersⅡcan significantly reduce the content of fluorine in bone and obvously inhibit the lipid peroxidation process and enhance the activity of antioxidases in rats compared to other anti-fluorine compounds.
