For fully investigating and understanding the current status of industrial fluorine pollution in Erdenbolag Sum and studying the fluorine clinical effects of compound Danggui powder on goat with chronic fluorosis, the content of fluorine in water, grass and soil in experimental sites as well as the content of fluorine in skeleton, plasma, urine, feces and wool of goat was determined by using the fluorine ion selecting electrolytic method. The dental damages and the symptoms of experimental goat were carefully observed, and the epidemiologic data was analysed simultaneously in this experiment. And then, 24 goats, similar in weights and monthly ages as well as in same feeding conditions, were selected and devided into 3 groups of a control group and 2 experimental groups. Goats in the experimental groups were administered by per os in regular interval with original preparation of compound Danggui powder and improved compound Danggui powder, respectively. For studying the seasonal influence on fluorine pollution and the therapeutic effects of compound Danggui powder on clinic fluorosis, the content of fluorine in water, grass and soil in experimental sites as well as the content of fluorine in plasma, urine, feces and wool of goat was determined again 3 months later by using the same method.Experimental results showed that the level of fluorine pollution is obviously difference during the different seasons and closely related with the sampling sites. The compound Danggui powder can significantly alleviate the dental damages and can decrease the plasma fluorine content by preventing gastrointestinal absorption of fluorine in goat with chronic fluorosis.
