Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. seed germination rate take on obvious downtrend along with preservation, it reached 60 percent when stored about 30 ds. The lateral root reached average 20.93 when the length of seed root is 4 cm and the yields have reached 1833.603kg per 667 square metre., the quality is best and tanshinonIIA contents was about 0.586 percent. Preservation time and root lenth have long affected on Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. growth and yields and quality. The less the storing time, the more the germination. The proper root length would improve the yields and quality.Planting density have also affected the Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. quality and yields. When the planting density was 20cmx25cm, the crude durg had better yields and quality and the highest survival rate, the follow density was 25cmx25cm, and the 20cmx20cm was the lowest. Although 25cmx25cm has the best yields, it's quality was the lowest. When the density was 20cmx25cm, the yields was in the middle and effective composition were the highest, it is crucial to choice the proper density for Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. planting density.During the later Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. growth periods, reproductive growth costed too much nutrtion, removal the inflorescence and cut down nutrtion in the reproductive growth so that promoting more nutrition transport to root and accerlating effective composition accumulate. Controlling procreation growth (excising flower bud) can distinctly reduce ratio between xylem and bark,improving effective composition of overall tanshinone and tanshinonIIA and salvianolic acid B,and increasing the root output. The content of overall tanshinone increased to 28.12%,the content of tanshinonIIA increased to 15.49%,the content of salvianolic acid B increased to 9.78%, the output of individual fresh root increased to 22.82%, the ratio of between dry and fresh heavy of Danshen root increased to 34.12%. The gross of effective ingredients of tanshinonIIA and salvianolic acid B of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. root increased to 30.05% and 26.94%.Consequently,excising flower bud could improve output and quality of salvia miltiorrhiza Bge..Therefore,we should advocate excising flower bud for improving output and quality of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. root.
