Antioxidant Activity Of Salvia Miltiorrhiza Bunge. And Salvia Miltiorrhiza Bunge. F.alba In Vitro

In this study, we take Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. and Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. f.alba as material and for these two kind of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. with 70% alcohol ultrasonic to extract the Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. powder respectively, and get alcohol extractum after reduced pressure and concentration, and add distilled water into ethanol and get the suspension and get different solvents with equivoluminal petroleum ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and n-butanol extract. Do the determination of total flavonoids and total phenolic acid content and antioxidant activity of the four different solvents respectively and do the correlation analysis of them.The main conclusions obtained as follows:(1) The same rule showed in this two different compositions Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. extract of total flavonoids and total phenolic acid content .Ethyl acetate extract the highest content of flavonoids, and chloroform extract the lowest; of these the total flavonoids content of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. ethyl acetate extract is higher than the content of white salvia miltiorrhiza extracts and the total flavonoids content of others are all below Salvia miltiorrhiza f.alba .N-butanol extract the highest total phenolic acids content, and chloroform extract the loweat; of these the total phenolic acids content of the Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. f.alba ethyl acetate extract is higher than the content of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. extracts and the total phenolic acid content of others are all below Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge..(2) Through the determination of removing ability of DPPH·, H₂O₂,·OH and reductive ability of two kind of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. solvents showed that the two Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. solvents have the antioxidant activity and with the antioxidant activity concentration increase ,the antioxidant activity increase and for the certain degree the concentration value remained stable.Ethyl acetate extract has strong antioxidant activity, and chloroform exact and n-butanol extract also have strong antioxidant activity; The antioxidant activity of Petroleum ether extract relatively weak.Due to differences between species ,two kinds of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge., contains antioxidant flavonoids ingredients such as, phenolic acids compounds and phenolic acids of ester derivatives, which causes slightly different antioxidant capacity but showed the same general trend of antioxidant activity .(3) There are certain correlation between antioxidant activity of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. and total phenolic acids content and total flavonoids content and there are obvious correlation between the reductive ability and total flavonoids content and total phenolic acids content;There are obvious correlation between remove DPPH radical activity and total flavonoids and total phenolic acids content;There are certain correlation between hydroxyl radical activity and total phenolic acids content and total flavonoids content;And there are no obvious correlation between hydrogen peroxide activity after remove and total flavonoids and total phenolic acids content.
