Under the condition of indoor and outdoor seedling raising and filedcultivation, the influences of 5 kinds of pharmaceuticals or formulas(High-effective thiazole(30mg/L),Elicitor(2‰),Sodium nitro complex(1‰),Abscisic acide (10ppm),Elicitor (2‰)+Sodium nitro complex(1%0)) and their made seed-coating agents on the agriculturalcharacteristics and physiological and biochemical characteristics of thedifferent early rice varieties were studied systematically under chillingstress in growth chamber and fields by using 3 different early ricevarieties Xiangzaoxian31, Zhong156 and Jinyou974 as experimentalmaterials. Main results are as follows:1.Under chilling stress, 5 kinds of pharmaceuticals or formulas hadpromoting effects on the germination of early rice seeds and seedlinggrowth, and enhanced the seedling qualities. The effects, However, weredifferent on 3 early rice varieties (combination). The germination rate ofrice seeds, root numbers per plant, seedling height, fresh weight and dryweight per 100 plants of rice seedlings of the same early rice varietiestreated by different pharmaceuticals were also affected differently. However, these effects of all treatments were significantly higer thanthose of tap water treatments. And the efficiency of treatment of Elicitor(2‰)+Sodium nitro complex (1‰) was the best among the fivepharmaceuticals tested.2.Under chilling stress, The germination rate, emergence rate andadult seedling rate of 3 early rice varieties (combination) treated by 5kinds of differet seed-coating agents were obviously enhanced. However, the enhancing degrees were different. The germination rate, emergencerate and adult seedling rate that were obviously enhanceed of the samerice varieties (combination) treated by seed-c0ating agents were higerthan those of tap water treatments, and the differences of these betweenseed-coating agents and tap water treatments were significant at of 1%levels. And the efficiency of treatment of Elicitor (2‰)+Sodium nitrocomplex (1‰) was the best among the five seed-coating agents tested.3.Under chilling stress, the seedling qualities enhanceed of 3 early rice varieties (combination) treated by 5 kinds of seed-coating agents wereobviously enhanced. However, the enhancing efficiency had differences. The differences of seedling height, cauline basilar width, total roots, white roots fresh weight and dry weight per 100 plants enhanced of thesame rice varieties (combination) treated by seed-coating agents werehiger than those of tap water treatments, and the differences of thesebetween seed-coating agents and tap water treatments were significant atof 1% levels. And the efficiency of treatment of Elicitor (2‰)+Sodiumnitro complex (1‰) was the best among the five seed-coating agentstested.4.Under chilling stress, the seed-coating agents could obviouslyenhance root vigour, chlorophyll content, soluble sugar content, andfree proline content in seedlings, and decrease malondialdehyde (MAD)content, and enhance the activities of pexoxidase(POD), catalase (CAT)and superoxide dismutase (SOD), decrease electrolyte leakage, whichlaid a physiological foundation for strengthening the cold resistance ofseedlings. As a result, the seed-coating agents improved the ability of ricein resisting to chilling stress. The efficiency of effects of seed-coatingagents on the different early rice varieties (combination) was different. And the efficiency of treatment of Elicitor (2‰)+Sodium nitrocomplex (1‰) was the best among the five seed-coating agents tested.5.Under chilling stress, early rice seed-coated treatment obviouslyincreased the productive panicle, total numbers, seed setting rate, and1000-grain weight, then improved theorical and practical yield. However, the efficiency of effects had differences. The productivepanicle, total numbers, seed setting rate, and 1000-grain weight, andtheorical and practical yield of the 3 early rice varieties (combination)treated by seed-coating agents were significantly raised. And theefficiency of treatment of Elicitor (2‰)+Sodium nitro complex (1‰) was the best among the five seed-coating agents tested.
