Pu'er Tea is from nature and has been used for a long time. It is proved that Pu'erTea has functions of anti-microbial by pharmacological studies. So exploring andseparating active ingredients for anti-microbial from Pu'er Tea is important forpresent and theories. It is not only show a new way for exploring the anti-microbialnature drag but also offer some theories for opening up and using Pu'er Tea inall-around, systemic, and reasonable ways. the In this study, the technology of modernisolating and active compound screening was used in order to exploring andseparating active ingredients for anti-microbial from Pu'er Tea, The results were asfollows:1. Studying the anti-microbial activity in Pu'er Tea extractionIt is the first time on the anti-microbial activity screening in Pu'er Teaextraction study. The result showed that the anti-microbial activity of the 95ï¼…ethanolextraction was obviously, stronger than that of the water extraction in Pu'er Tea.What's more, it was showing the most significant bacterium-restraining effect onStaphylococcus aureus. On the activity screening further for the different parts fromPu'er Tea 95ï¼…ethanol extraction, the ethyl acetate fraction had the strongestanti-microbial activity, next is the petroleum ether and fractions, the last part had thelowest activity. It implied that the ethyl acetate fraction from the 95ï¼…ethanolextraction was the anti-microbial screening parts for further isolating and purifying.2. Studying the anti-microbial chemical constituents from Pu'er TeaEthyl acetate fraction from Pu'er Tea ethanol extraction was isolated and purifiedfurther in order to study the anti-microbial chemical constituents. For isolation activecompounds from this Ethyl acetate fraction, the best resin was NKA-9 according tothe experiment. The best wash conditions for NKA-9 to obtain the active compoundswere optimized. And the HPLC method of detecting the activity compounds was also established. The compound (V-1) was isolated at last. With detecting the purity of thecompound by HPLC and also concerning the physical and chemical characteristics,the structure of the compound was identified by means of UV, IR, MS, 1HNMR and13CNMR. It was Gallic acid.3. Studying the anti-microbial, anti-viral and PPAR function of Gallic acid in vitroThe content of Gallic acid is high in Pu'er Tea as a characteristic activeconstituent, so it is important for present to study the anti-microbial, anti-viral andPPAR function of Gallic acid as a functional constituent isolating from Pu'er Tea invitro. The results showed that Gallic acid had anti-microbial, anti-viral function andhad strong action on PPAR.
