A six-week experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of different levelsnanometer zinc oxide (nano-Zn0) on growth performance andblood.Biochemistry indexes of Forepart weanling piglets. 120 crossbred (D×L×Y)pigs weanled at 28 day of age, were randomly allotted into the 5 dietary treatmentswith 3 replicates per treatment and 8 pigs per replicate, zinc sulfate(ZnSO4,100mg/kg Zn, control), nano-Zn0(100, 1500, 2000mg/kg Zn), feed-grade zinc oxide(Zn0, 2000mg/kg Zn) were used in the baseal corn-soybean meal diet, respectively. The results showed:(1)there was not significantly different to meet nutrition requirement of Znbetween nano-Zn0 and ZnSO4, and feeding basal dietary with 100mg/kg nano-Zn0did not significantly affect ADG (average day weight gain) (P>0.05).(2) Supplmenting high level nano-Zn0 and Zn0 enhanced significantly growthperformance of Forepart weanlirig piglets. Diarrhea rate of piglets was lower whennano-Zn0 was fed than when ZnSO4 and Zn0 were fed. And, to reduce diarrhea rate, feeding high level nano-Zn0 (2000mg/kg) was better than feeding normal level. Butpiglets need to be fed high level Zn at most during 4 weeks after weaning...(3) Supplmenting high leve lnano-Zn0 increased significantly Zn content, alkaline phosphatase activity, glucose content in serum, and reduced transaminaseactivity, ureanitrogen inserumbut has presented the trend of gradually lower on the28th day and of gradually higher on the 42th day and it did not affectsignificantlyserum total protein.
