Bactrocera dorsalis Hendel is the insect of quarantine at home and abroad, whichinfects fruits and vegetables of more forty families and two hundred-fifty species,such as mangoes,oranges,tangerines,carambolas,guavas and sorts of gourds.Enormous loss is caused by it every year. This article studies on control of Bactroceradorsalis Hendel from attractant.Consulting the results of the data, it was certificated that three chemical reagentincluding methyl acetate,citric acid and benzoic acid are important to attraction. Theresults of the indoor tests certificated the three chemical matter had a little attractionto the adult of oriental fruit.The mixture of attractant and insecticide is the ordinary method to controlBactrocera dorsalis Hendel. This experiment certificates that the mixture of clove oil,methy eugenol,eugenol and dichlorvos was better than the mixture of them and1-cyhalthrin. The best mixture of them and pesticides was methyl eugenol anddichlorvos,which si 9: 1. On the basis of the results of the former research, that theattraction of the petroleum ether extracting and acetone extracting of guava, sugarapple and star fruit had a little attraction to the adult of oriental fruit.The further studies on the attraction rate of the oriental fruit fly to various extracting,including the petroleum ether extracting, acetone extracting, water extracting anddichloridemethane extracting extracted the diffierence body of guava,sugar apple andstar fruit, indicated that the attraction will be difference according to various body ofthe botanical material and the change of the concentration of the extracting.
