Wheat is the most wide-sown crop in the world. Its plant area and yield are next torice in China. Meanwhile, there exists an issue that China lays more emphasis on wheatproduction than its quality. Consequently, on the whole, China's wheat quality isobviously inferior to that of developed countries in that the amount of protein is next to oreven higher than that of wheat species abroad but falling value, wet flour vein, hardnessand ash content are much less superior to foreign wheat, which extremely restrains thequality of wheat. Wheat yield and quality are comparatively complicated characteristics, which are based upon genetic basis and influenced and restrained by environmentalcircumstances as well as planting technologies. Genetic feature is the initial factor thathas an effect on wheat quality. However, superior planting measures can comparativelyresult in the enhancement of wheat yield and quality somehow within a certaindimension.Under the circumstances of large-scale experimental fields, the finalizedconsequence based upon the research into adaptability of amount of Nitrogen of No. 9Yangmai Wheat and into sowing density shows that the production and its constituentfactors increase side by side with addition of Nitrogen application amount, in which casethe lower amount is more inclined to stimulate the wheat production and its constituentfactors notably and less notably on the contrary; in addition, 2,250,000 young wheatplants per mu can better harmonize the wheat yield and its constituent factors. NoNitrogen fertilization during full-growth may result in superior protein. Meantime, proteincontent, production and its individual constituents rise hand in hand together with theamount of Nitrogen fertilization as well. Likewise, the planting density has smaller effecton protein content and production. With the increase of amount of Nitrogen, wet wheatvein and stable time will reinforce accordingly while alymose content and ratio ofalymose to aiymopection are bound to fall eventually. Nevertheless, once paste propertyof starch adds in quantity, the increasing of Nitrogen fertilization will do harm to theenhancement of weak-veined wheat. Sowing density addition will surely reduce the processing quality as well. As regards comprehensive output, quality and beneficial result, production of weak-veined wheat grown in Yunan Area of Henan Province is supposed tofocus upon the proper reduction of Nitrogen amount and sowing density, which may aswell underline 180 kg/h m~2 N, 2,250,000 young plants per mu as the utmost properNitrogen amount and sowing density.
