Small-Tail Sheep and Northeast fine wool Sheep are two kinds of sheep breeding of differentproductivity. There are some correlations with their productivity, organism construction features and theirovary in estrus cycle and gestational period. So, in this research, 12 Small-Tail Sheep and 12 Northeast finewool Sheep of different age period were used to observe, applying the technology of anatomy and histology,we morphologically researched Small-Tail Sheep and Northeast fine wool Sheep's ovary, follicular andluteal, and we analyzed the statistics, to get the test result as follows:1. In estrus cycle, Small-Tail Sheep and Northeast fine wool Sheep's ovary were no significantdifferences in organization structure. The main shape of its germinal epithelium is single cubic or column,no flat. Its albuginea is mainly composed of collagen epithelium. There are ovarian follicle, corpus luteum,corpus albicans, interstitial cell of different size are filled in fiber rack in the dense connective tissue ofovarian cortex. Aligned rhombus fibroblasts consist its cortex ground substance and there are manycollagen fiber and reticular fiber around fibroblast, no elastic fiber, however. There is abundant elastic fiberin ovarian medulla of ovary but no ovarian follicle in.2. There is no significant difference on the organization structure of Small-Tail Sheep and Northeastfine wool Sheep's primordial follicle, growing follicle, tertiary follicle, mature follicle and atretic follicle indifferent periond of oestrous cycle.Here are quantity numbers in Double ovary of Small-Tail Sheep in different oestrous cycle periond:The quantity numbers of primordial follicle are 14901.2±3596.6 in prophase of oestrus; the quantitynumbers of primordial follicle are 12651.4±2914.7 in oestrus; the quantity numbers of primordial follicleare 15416.0±3463.9 in anaphase Of oestrus; the quantity numbers of primordial follicle are 13671.8±2763.0in diestrum.The quantity numbers of Growing follicle are 636.3±151.0 in prophase of oestrus; the quantitynumbers of Growing follicle are 634.6±161.5 in oestrus; the quantity numbers of Growing follicle are668.5±147.8 in anaphase of oestrus; the quantity numbers of Growing follicle are 543.7±157.6 in diestrum.The quantity numbers of Tertiary follicle are 49.1±6.4 in prophase of oestrus; the quantity numbers ofTertiary follicle are 54.1±7.5 in oestrus; the quantity numbers of Tertiary follicle are 54.1±8.7 in anaphaseof oestrus; the quantity numbers of Tertiary follicle are 45.6±5.8 in diestrum.On average the quantity numbers of Mature follicle are 1.9±1.0. Only the quantity number of tertiary follicle is significant (P<0.05) in prophase of oestrus compareswith oestrus and anaphase of oestrus, other follicle is of no significant (P>0.05) in different period ofoestrous cycle.Here are the quantity numbers in double ovary of Northeast fine wool Sheep in different oestrouscycle period:The quantity numbers of primordial follicle are 14704.1±3499.1 in prophase of oestrus t; the quantitynumbers of primordial follicle are 12728.0±3183.3 in oestrus; the quantity numbers of primordial follicleare 15515.2±3268.2 in anaphase of oestrus; the quantity numbers of primordial follicle are 13596.5±2913.8in diestrum.The quantity numbers of Growing follicle are 631.7±128.2 in prophase of oestrus; the quantitynumbers of Growing follicle are 607.4±161.0 in oestrus; the quantity numbers of Growing follicle are648.5±132.7 in anaphase of oestrus; the quantity numbers of Growing follicle are 529.4±151.3 in diestrum.The quantity numbers of Tertiary follicle are 48.7±6.7 in prophase of oestrus; the quantity numbers ofTertiary follicle are 53.0±6.8 in oestrus; the quantity numbers of Tertiary follicle are 52.2±7.5 in anaphaseof oestrus; the quantity numbers of Tertiary follicle are 45.0±5.4 in diestrum.On average the quantity numbers of Mature follicle are 0.7±0.5.Only the quantity number of Mature follicle is significant difference (P<0.05) between Small-TailSheep and Northeast fine wool Sheep, other follicle is of no significant (P>0.05).3. Atresia occurred in different ovarian follicle of Small-Tail Sheep and Northeast fine wool Sheep indifferent period of oestrous cycle, of which, the form of primordial follicle and growing follicle is simple,while the form of tertiary follicle is complicated. In the last one, it's atresia process can be divided asprophase, metaphase and anaphase. In metaphase, there are three main forms: collapse form, shrinkageform and cyst form. Zona pellucida is often found in anaphase. Meanwhile, the quantity number of atresiagrowing follicle between Small-Tail Sheep and Northeast fine wool Sheep is no significant(P>0.05), andatresia tertiary follicle between Small-Tail Sheep and Northeast fine wool Sheep is no significant (P>0.05)either.4. In the two sheep's oestrous cycle, corpus luteum is mainly composed of GLC and TLC. GLC isirregular type or polygon with a rotundity or oval nucleus. TLC is irregular type with one or more ovalnucleus. The size of GLC and TLC is of no significant difference (P>0.05) between two kind of sheep.5. In gestational period of Small-Tail Sheep and Northeast fine wool Sheep, the ovarian follicle isirregular type. There is projecting corpus luteum and cortical part of ovary becomes obviously thicken.There are also a lot of primordial follicle, primary follicle and a little secondary follicle with zona pellucidaand Call-Exner cytoryctes. However, the histological structure of ovary is of no significant differencebetween two kind of sheep. 6. Here are the quantity numbers in double ovary of Small-Tail Sheep in gestational period: thequantity numbers of Primordial follicle are 15437.3±2263.4; the quantity numbers of Growing follicleare456.44±116.3; the quantity numbers of Tertiary follicle are44.6±4.7.Here are the quantity numbers in double ovary of Northeast fine wool Sheep in gestational period: thequantity numbers of Primordial follicle are 15492.2±2418.1; the quantity numbers of Growing follicle are484.7±118.2; the quantity numbers of Tertiary follicle are 45.2±4.4.The quantity number of different follicle is of no significant difference (P>0.05) between two kind ofsheep. Meanwhile, atresia occur in growing follicle and tertiary follicle and there is no significant (P>0.05)on the quantity number of atresia follicle between two kind of sheep. No mature follicle was found in ovaryin both sheep of gestational period.7. In gestational period, CL is in double ovary of both sheep, changing with gestational period'schanging. Bigger than what they are in oestrous cycle, CL in this period are also composed of GLC andTLC, which change in size and construction with gestational period's changing. GLC and TLC's changingdirection is degeneration and Northeast fine wool Sheep's GLC changing is more obviously than Small-TailSheep's in anaphase ofgestational period.
