In order to comparative studies of system on the moderative mechanism of souce-sink and yield-forming physiological process, and the regulation of souce-sink relationship and effect in different stage. 2 super-high yield corns(campact)—Xianyu335 and Zhengdan958 and 2 common yield corns(plate)—Tongji100 and Changcheng799 were used for this experiment, which planted in the same environment and cultivated condition. Research work was conducted at experiment station of Jilin Agricultural University, Changchun city, and Huadian Hongshi, Huadian city, Jilin Province P.R. of China in 2005 and 2006. This experiment was adopted randomized block design, replicate thrice by the best density.The experiment was started in seeding stage, investigated form index, LA, LAI, LAD and Chl content per 20 day; In the main growth stage, dry matter accumulation of organic of plant was determined. From grain-filling stage, the kernal WF and WD,volume and the rate of grain-filling were determined per 6 day.Meanwhile, dynamic of endosperm cell proliferation and starchy content was determined per 5 day. Yield complications were determined in mature stage. The results showed that:1 In 4 cultivars, there was significant difference at the yield and harvest index of the super-high yield corns and common yield corns. The order of the yield and harvest index: Xianyu335>Zhengdan958>Changcheng799>Tongji100, and the harvest index was vary significant difference(p≤0.05)between the two super-high yield corns, yet there was no significant difference(p≤0.01).There was significant difference between the two common yield corns(p≤0.05), no significant difference(p≤0.01).There was significant difference(p≤0.01 and p≤0.05 )between the super-high yield corns and common corns.2 The rate of grain-filling and the duration high of grain-filling were significant correlated to the grain weight. The result showed that the duration of high grain-filling of super-high yield(Xianyu335) was 56 day, and Zhengdan958 was 48 day. But the common(Changcheng799 and Tongji100)was 39 day. It showed that the duration of high grain-filling of super-high yield corns was longer, and the grain weight was decisived the duration of grain-filling, the rate of grain-filling.3 The dynamic of endosperm cell proliferation and it is relation to grain weight of four different varieties were studied. Xianyu335, Zhengdan958, Changcheng799 and Tongjil00.The result showed that the proliferation process of endosperm cell could be better modeled with Richards equation. The endosperm cell number of different cultivars were significant difference. It showed that the endosperm cell number of Xianyu335 was the greatest, the endosperm cell of Changcheng799 was the smallest, the Zhengdan958 and the Tongji100 were between other two cultivars. But the grain weight of Xianyu335 was the greatest, the grain weight of Tongji100 was the smallest, the Zhengdan958 and the Changcheng799 were between other two cultivars. Stepwise regression analysis showed the same cultivar maize's endosperm cell number was related to grain weight, and the endosperm cell number, the weight of single endosperm cell were significantly related to grain weight. The grain weight was mainly determined by the number of endosperm cell, the single endosperm cell were second. The grain weight of different varieties were mainly determined grain filling besides endosperm cell and single endosperm cell weight.4 The results indicated that the LAI and LAD of super high-yielding xianyu335 and zhengdan958 were all higher than that of the common in group condition.But the higher or lower LAI was disadvantage to the ratio of grain number to leaf area.The eligible LAI can coordinate the souce-sink relationship after anthesis to implemente high yeild. There was significent positive relationship between LAD and grain yield after anthesis (R=0.988**). There was significent positive relationship between LAI and grain yield, LAI and its components of Xianyu335 and Zhengdan958 in silking and mature stage, the significance level in yield. Correlation analysis showed that there was significent positive relationship between LAI, LAD and yield, grain per ear in 4 cultivars, yet no relationship with 100-grain weight.5 The ratio of grain number to leaf area of four varieties from high level to low level was Xianyu335>Zhengdan958>Changcheng799>Tongjil00. The ratio of grain number to leaf area of Xianyu335 and Zhengdan958 was 0.137 and 0.128. The higher ratio of grain number to leaf was important character of morden super-high yield cultivar. There was significent difference in the ratio of grain number to leaf area between Xiauyu335 and Tongji100 (p≤0.01); There was significent difference in the output percent of stem-sheath store matter of four vatieties ( p≤0.01).The rank from low level to high level was Xianyu335<Zhengdan958<Changcheng799<Tongji100. The output percent of stem-sheath store matter of Xianyu335 was lowset, But the output percent of stem-sheath store matter of Tongji100 was highest. Negative correlation existed between output percent of stem-sheath store matter and yield and its components. Correlation index of Tongji100 was (-0.8878**); Correlation index of Changcheng799 was (-0.7869*);It significently existed in it.6 The results indicated that there was significant linaer positive relationship between the grain weight and maximum volume and grain plumpness.Path analysis showed that the main factor for grain weight was the grain plumpness(P_x→Y=0.5872)and the secondary was grain maximum volume(Px→Y=0.4631). The grain plumpness of common maize is smaller, and the rate of level relaxation of group LAI is bigger. The rate of level relaxation of LAI of Changcheng799 was -0.057LAI/d in between the milk stage tothe grain filling and between the mature stage to the dough stage; The rate of level relaxation of Tongji100 was -0.057LAI/d between the mature stage to the dough stage. The rate of level relaxation of the super-high yield maize was smaller.Because the biggst LAI of Changcheng799 and Tongji100 was small ,and the rate of level relaxation of group LAI was bigger in late stage,the souce of the Changcheng799 and Tongji100 was insufficient.In this experiment, Xianyu335 and Zhengdan958 belonged to source-sink interacted type. but ChangCheng799 and Tongji100 belonged to sink-limited type.The result showed that the super-high yield cultivar was the higher yield.Tt was owe to the higher ratio of grain number to leaf area, the lower output percent of stem-sheath store matter, the more endosperm cell number, the high duration of grain-filling and LAD after anthesis in the whole growth stage. The ratio of grain number to leaf area was a quantitical represention of moderation souce-sink relationship that it is or not.On the basis of optimum LAI and LAD, the high grain-leaf ratio was an index to evaluate the souce and sink relationship for high grain yield. The purpose of this research was providing theory for the quality, high-yield cutivation and the targets of high yield. Meanwhile it established the foundation to the super-high yeild cutivation in Jilin Province.
