Taking vegetation of Tarim river as the research object and vegetation status of 1972 of Tarim river as the jumping-off, based on synthetically using the ground investigate data and CBERS-1data, comparatively analyse the character of landscape patterns and spatio-temporal changed in 1972, 2000 and 2006, we can generalize the results of vegetation's collective changes of Tarim river, which provided the scientific basis correctly evaluating entironment treatment. After lower reaches breaker in 1972 of Tarin river, the lower reaches vegetation had taken place a vast change, as a result of the assart was more and more, and leaded water to enter reservoirs, natural vegetation also had changed gravely, by data analysis, the main results show:(1) In target area of 1972, 2000 and 2006, landscape types'matrix all was lower-cover vegetation, patches were woodland, bush-woodland, grassland, farmland and residential area, corridor was river.(2)In 1972, many patches were large area, the gathering degree and interlinkage degree of patches were high, cracking degree was small; The diversity of landscape was lower, the dominant types of landscape were unconspicuous, each patch was homogeneous in distributing; The largest area was lower-cover vegetation, the smallest area was swamp; The destroy degree of wasteland was lower. The maximum number of patches was water, which was affected by small patches and cracking degree was highest; Patches shape of water and farmland was the most complex and not regulation, geometry shape of wasteland and swamp was the most simple and the resist was most strong against outside.(3)In 2000, the patches number of each landscape type had been violent increasing, which cracking degree was growing acute, diversity index was higher; The same to 1972, patches shape of water even had been very complex; Dominant types of the whole landscape were lower-cover vegetation, wasteland and shrub; There was a better correlation between patches number and patches area, which were swamp, farmland, residential area and water, contrarily, there was a lower correlation between patches number and patches area, which were woodland, shrub, shrub-woodland, grassland, lower-cover vegetation and wasteland.(4)In 2006, lower-cover vegetation, shrub and wasteland had been a higher proportion in the whole landscape, the proportion of wasteland and lower-cover vegetation had excessed half of the whole area, it can show that the wasteland and lower-cover vegetation still were dominant types; Looking at the patches grade and their distribution, micro-patches had a absolute dominance; Other grades of patches were all fewer, the landscape types were lack of middle-small and middle patches in the whole landscape.(5)Between 1972 and 2000, the area and proportion of high-cover vegetation and water were descending, however, the area's proportion of lower-cover vegetation was increasing mostly fast, which mostly came from high-cover vegetation; The farmland also had been increasing, it mainly came from high-cover vegetation and swamp, but it main focus on upperreaches and middle reaches; Because of the breaker of lower reaches, water had been less and less, farmland had been hardly increasing, on the contrary, much already existing farmland was given up, which changed wasteland.(6)Looking at the change of landscape area between 2000 to 2006, farmland was the most one that had increased, it mainly came from swamp, woodland, shrub and grassland; Decreasing quantity of lower-cover vegetation is mostly typical, it mainly go out into water and wasteland; Patches number of each type was increasing, however, farmland was the most increasing.(7) The landscape type of 1972 as starting point, through 7 years entironment'sfather, the vegetation had been reinstated on some degree, but it still had a big distance contrary to starting point.
