Establishment Of Forest Resources Information Management System For Beijing Xishan Trial Forest Farm

The study subject of this paper is the establishment of forest resources information management system (FRIMS) for Beijing Xishan Trial Forest Farm (BXTFF). This paper contains massive research into the current status and development trends of domestic and international FRIMS. In view of the problems in present forest resources information management, according to the norms of forest resources database construction and the data encoding standard of forest resources put forward by the State Forestry Administration of China, in the light of the actual management situation of BXTFF, the author sets up the FRIMS based on GIS.The system developed in this paper which makes the data searches between space and attribute of forest resources more intuitive, the data management of forest resources more flexible. Without the need to further develop the FRIMS, which can complete the functions of new code's automatic creation and data record, provides data base for the entire FRIMS to expand its functions when necessary. At the same time, the statistical graphics drawing capabilities developed in this FRIMS can select any data from datasheet, and then generate statistical graphics after data projection, which provides a beneficial basis for further data mining and data analysis of forest resources. It can propose good recommendations of decision-making management, thus to help managers in decision-making. All in all, this FRIMS provides more information technology support for BXTFF in its modern management.
