Aegliops tauschii,an important tetroploid species in Triticum,is the important genetic resources for the improvement of bread wheat With valuable gene resources,it has some desirable characters such as high tillering ability, good fecundity, high protein content and good resistance to powdery mildew, stripe rust and stem rust, also with tolerance to low temprature and preharvest sprouting. To exploit the new genetic resources for utilizing excellent traits efficiently, the genetic variations of storage proteins and the main agronomic traits were analyzed and evaluated. The main results were described as follows:78 accessions of Aegliops tauschii were studied on genetic diversity of agronomic characteristics and high molecular glutenin subunits. The results shown that the lifetimes of Aegliops tauschii were from 229d to 256d,plant height 58cm-100cm,spike length 6.3cm-13.6cm,number of grains per spike 6-15.Among of them, the lifetimes of 19 accessions were less than 237d comparing to Xiaoyan 22(check wheat variety),plant heights of 9 accessions were shorter than 70cm,spike length of 21 accessions were longer than 11 cm,number of grains per spike of 18 accessions more than 12.There were large of allelic variations at Glu-ID~t were observed in SDS-PAGE analysis of 78 accessions of Aegliops tauschii.Twelve HMW-GS types(1~t,1.1~t,1.5~t,2~t,2.1~t,3~t,5~t,10~t,11~t,12~t,12.1~t,12.4~t)and thirteen HMW-GS combinations(1.1~t+11~t,1~t+12.1~t,1.5~t+10~t,1.5~t+12~t,1.5~t+12.4~t,2~t+10~t,2~t+11~t,2~t+12~t,2~t+12.1~t,2~t+12.4~t,2.1~t+11~t,3~t +11~t,5~t +12~t)were found in these collection,of which four novel combantions(1~t+12.1~t,1.5~t +12.4~t,2~t +12.1~t,2.1~t+11~t)were new HMW-GS types. The standard gliadin fingerprints and database of 78 Aegliops tauschii had been made by using A-PAGE method,There were 70 different gliadin bands, per materials to 12.58 bands. According to different gliadin bands, type bands will be divided intoω,γ,βandα,Among themω,γ,βandα-gliadin had 20,13,21 and 16 bands respectively, there are different in this four areas, that was to say, there was polymorphism in the gene locus which encoded the prolamine, while GS was at the level of 0.78,78 accessions could be divided into seven big groups.Through UPGMA analysis,May see the majority of same habitats and the identical material gathers is a kind.Explained that the origin and distributed and the inter-species blood relationship has certain relevance of Aegliops tauschii,But the origin same material and the homogeneous material not all gathers is a kind,Explained that Aegliops tauschii have rich genetic diversity.8 accessions Aegliops tauschii were analyzed using 211 wheat(among which,84,84, and43 primers sets belong to the A,B,and D genomes, respectively)to explain the potential genetic diversity in wheat breeding programs.37,45 and 32 alleles were detected on these microsatellite primer pairs,44.5%,53.57%and 74.42%of the total primers.Totally 114 primers were detected on these all primers,54.03%of the total primers,The polymorphic information showed that the D Chromosome>the B Chromosome>the A Chromosome. It indicated that the homologous in D Chromosome of the primer is the largest than D Chromosome of Aegliops tauschii,Secondly B Chromosome, the homologous in A Chromosome of the primer is least than D Chromosome of Aegliops tauschii.78 Aegliops tauschii were analyzed using 32 wheat microsatellite markersto explain the potential genetic diversity in wheat breeding programs.Totally 308 alleles were detected on these microsatellite primer pairs, with an average of 8.14 alleles per locus, that there were the notable genetic diversities among the synthetic hexaploid wheats. The UPGMA clustering analysis,All accessions were split into 2 groups in 0.73.All accessions were clustered into 6 groups except to 2 accessions in 0.77. The clustering analysis results suggested that the genetic relationship among T.carthlicum accessions based on the gliadins were associated with its geographical distribution.
