| A test was designed to evaluate the effect of Fu Lexing (FL) extracted from Chinese medicinal herb for blunt snout bream (BSB) in practical diet. Five different forms of FL were added to determin the suitable dosage forms. Growth performance (weight specific growth rate SGR), nonspecific immunity (superoxide dismutase SOD, lysozyme LSZ, alanine aminotransferase GPT, aspartate aminotransferase GOT, hemoglobin content Hb) ,the composition of body were determined to discuss the difference between them.Tests 1: the effect on growth and body of BSB with 5 different forms of FL. 6 treatments ( a blank control ) with 3 replicates were designed for a 64 d trial. The results showed that the growth was fastest, the coefficient of feed was lowest and fish strip was best (Fatness moderate, offal Index, hepatopancreas Index), for BSB with FL 4th.Test 2: the effect on nonspecific immunity of TTF with 5 different forms of FL. The experiment proposal was the same as the experiment 1. The results showed that FL has a good role at protecting fish hepatopancreas function and the serum lysozyme activity, all kinds of superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity was higher of FL group. The hemoglobin content of the test group were normal, and the FL groups were better than control group. The FL 4th was the best in the 5 forms FL.Test 3: the effect on nutritional components of organizes( hepatopancreas,muscle and body) of TTF with 5 different forms of FL. The experiment proposal was the same as the experiment 1. The results show that the nutrition of TTF with FL was no significant (P> 0.05) about hepatopancreas,muscle and body.so FL have not harmful effects to the quality of fish, and they were security to the fish.In summary, FL 4th can be used as feed additives to promote good growth, improve body immunity and did not change the quality of fish.
