In this stduy,70 crosses were made by NCⅡdesign with 17 inbred lines(consisting of 10 P1 which were selected by JiLi agricultural science and technology college and 7 p2 which were elite inbred lines in Sichuan).The 17 parents and 70 crosses were evaluated for grain yields and the other 14 agronomic characters. Analysis of variance, combining ability, correlation and breeding application were made respectivly. The main results were as followed:1.GCA and SCA ,variance of plant height, ear height, stem diameter, tassel main axis length, tassel branch number,, ear length, ear diameter , ear row ,number of kernels per row, 100-grain weight, grain weight per ear and grain yield was significant at 0.01 level. Inbred line N575, N324, N194, N527, Dan340, Ji853, Dan988 had higher grain yield ,and N575, N194, N503, N324 had higher GCA of grain yield .The grain yield of any cross between paternal and N575, N194, N503, N324 was higher . The first tenth of 70 hybridized combinations in grain yield are N575×DAN340(12611.6g), N324×DAN340(10701.6g), N154×CHANG7-2(10485.5g), N575×JI853(10436.5g), N194×DAN340(10249.1 g), N154×DAN988(10172.7g), N503×C8605-2(10168.9g), N583×DAN340(10107.5g), N503×JI853(10083.6g), N324×CHANG7-2(10075.3g). Among the ten inbred lines for experiment ,to consider the effect values of GCA and SCA of each conditions N575,N194,N324,N503 were better inbred lines. High yield crosses could probably be screened from crosses combined by these inbred line and we should take full advantage of them. And N575×DAN340, N324×DAN340, N575×JI853 were the better combinations of high yield and agronomy characteristics.2. The estimation for the genetic parameters of all kinds of conditions showed: The higher broad, narrow heritability of tassel branch number, ear diameter, number of kernels per row, ear row, and rows per, the least influence by environment. The general inheritance of plant height, stem diameter, ear length, 100-grain weight and grain weight per ear had higher broad heritability and lower narrow heritability. And this showed these characters were more influenced by environment.3. Correlation analysis indicated that the plant height was significantly positively correlated with the ear height and the tassel main axis length and had little relevance with other conditions. And the ear height had greater relevance with the stem diameter. The grain weight per ear was significantly positively correlated with ear length, ear row, ear thickness and 100-grain weight and little negatively correlated with number of kernels per row, bald top length of ear. Plant height was significantly positively correlated with ear length and ear thickness. Plant height and ear height had positive relevance with ear thickness.4. Application results of breeding:JiKe159's yield was 9.9% more than that of the check in JiLin Maize joint pre-trial, but its loss yield was serious on Tonghua point;JiKe9's yield was 9.3% more than that of the check, but it occurred Maize bacterial wilt in the test. Part of crosses were better the first year and second year of our college, such as D26Gai×N194's yield was 14.3% more than that of JiDan261, N575×D34's yield was 11.2% more than that of the check PingQuan13 in middle and later mature crosses.
