As one mode of circulative economy,Utilization of crop trashes in cattle raising can greatly improve the benefit of economy,ecology and society,thus places very important role in the construction of conservation-minded and eco-friendly society.Sugarcane is one of the most import economic crops in Guangxi,its main cultivated varieties are sugar cane and chewing cane. However,feed cane varieties like B60,introduced from Brazil in 2002,was started to be extended in recent years.Generally,for sugar and chewing cane, the harvest organ is cane stalks,cane leaves and sheath are trashes,the burn of them when harvested will cause air pollution and the lost of organic matter; however,the whole plants of feed cane are harvested as products without any trashes.Thus,to raise cattle by using the leaves and sheath of sugar and chewing cane,can realize non-trash sugarcane production,promote circulative utilization of organic matters and economize resources,reduce the production cost,so it can boost the sustainable development of cane production in cane growing area.In this paper,the studied varieties were the typical sugar cane variety ROC22,chewing cane variety Badila and feed cane variety B60.The yield of leaves and sheath of variety ROC22,Badila and B60 were tested,and the cattle raising trials with green and aminated fodders made from the three varieties were conducted,to study the relationship between the leaves and sheath yield under certain ecological condition and the feeding effects,aiming to find out a better way for fodder production.Besides,investigations were conducted in order to find out the limiting factors for the development of cattle-raising industry in cane growing areas,and the countermeasures were proposed on basis of the analysis of the limiting factors,aiming to provide reference guidance for the development of cattle raising industry and the circulative economy in cane growing area.The results were as followings:Comparison of the yield of leaves and sheath of variety ROC22,Badila and B60The yield of leaves and sheath of variety ROC22 was 60.44t/ha,which was equivalent to 14.91t/ha of dry weight;that of Badila was 74.01t/ha,equivalent to 16.45t/ha;while that of B60 reached 206.88t/ha,which was equivalent to 47.09t/ha of dry weight.The results showed that variety ROC22 and Badila produced lower dry weight of leaves and sheath than that of feed cane variety B60,but higher than that of any other crops,and the leaves and sheath of them could be used as cattle fodder.During June and September(growth period)the leaves trashed from variety ROC22 and Badila could be used as green fodder.Besides,when variety ROC22 and Badila were harvested in winter or spring,the leaves and sheath of them could also be fed to cattle,which could well solve the shortage of green fodder in winter and spring season.Comparison on the effects of variety ROC22,Badila and B60 on cattle-raising in cane growing area1.Comparison of economic benefitWhen green fodder from variety ROC22 or Badila was fed to beef cattle respectively,the production value of ROC22 was increased by 30.72%and that of Badila was increased by 18.20%.Compared to dry rice straw,the leaves and sheath from cane in winter and spring used as green fodder can increased cattle-raising effects 36.70%-50.23%,it could make up for the deficiency of green fodder in winter and spring.When the dairy cow was fed by green fodder from variety ROC22 or Badila respectively,the production value of ROC22 was increased by 556.11% and that of Badila was increased by 419.22%.So the enhancement of economic benefit in cattle-raising is a break through in the strategies to adjust industrial structure in cane growing areas.When the beef cattle was fed by aminated fodder from variety ROC22 or Badila respectively,the production value of ROC22 was increased by 38.88% and that of Badila was increased by 30.93%.After the leaves and sheath were treated by aminating,their supply period for fodders could be elongated and their nutrient value could be improved.2.Comparison on ecological benefit Strengthen secondary production.Economize the farmland.Improve the condition for sugarcane production.Preserve the ecological environment.3.Comparison on social benefitCattle raising in cane growing area can satisfy the need of beef and milk from consumers,meanwhile it can provide more employment.The raising of dairy cow in cane growing area makes "one cup of milk for daily per capita" possible,which plays very important role in the construction of new socialist rural.Limiting factors for cattle raising in cane growing area1.High residual quantity in cane leaves and sheath.2.The industries distribute unreasonably.3.The production processing industries,especially for beef and milk,have been poorly developed.4.The extension of new techniques is slow.5.Lower mechanization.Counter-measure for the development of cattle raising industry1.Extend the standardized production techniques for green farm produce and reduce residual quantity of toxic substance,so as to promote the development of green farm produce,green food as well as organic food. 2.Properly adjust the industrial distribution.3.Pay attention to the processing and distribution of farm produce to build up brand name products so as to promote the production and the income;4.Strengthen the development of poly techniques for planting and cultivation.5.Enhance the mechanization in the cane growing area to lower the labor intensity and accelerate the development of modern agriculture.
