The Mather's method and the Gamble's method,two methods of generation's averages analysis was used,to determine the genetic effects value on 14 characters of Micro-endosperm super high oil maize.Our study was based on three combinations of hybrids:combination 1(0410×1155),combination 2 (0417×1025)and combination 3(1036×0949).We have six generations(P1,P2, F1,B1,B2,and F2)in each combination.The study concerned the growing period characters(duration to tassel,duration to silk,duration to pollen);the field agronomic characters(number of leaves,plant height,ear height,stem diameter); the yield characters(length of ear,diameter of ear,kernel row per ear,kernel weight per ear,100 kernel weight);and the maturity characters(kernel oil percent).The results obtained are as follows:Duration to tassel,duration to silk,duration to pollen,number of leaves, plant height,ear height,stem diameter,and kernel oil percent,on the whole 8 characters are under the simultaneous control of three genetic effects:the dominance effect,the additive effect and the epistasis effect,and the dominance effect seems the main effect;this is the genetic model of three simultaneous effects.In addition,length of ear,diameter of ear,length of bald tip,kernel row per ear,kernel weight per ear,100 kernel weight,on the whole 6 characters also are under the simultaneous control of three genetic effects:the dominance effect,the additive effect and the epistasis effect;but the whole 6 characters don't have the same main effect,every character has his main effect;furthermore,in combinationⅡ(b),diameter of ear and length of bald tip are not under the epistasis effect.But it's also the genetic model of three simultaneous genetic effects.Moreover in the study of these 14 characters,apart from the duration to silk, the difference between periods of seeding does not influence genetic effects on the 13 other characters.So on the whole 14 characters are under the three simultaneous genetic effects(additive,dominance and epistasis genetic effects).But the important of every genetic effect is different between some characters.
