By the method IV of Griffing, with six inbred lines of micro-endosperm super-high oil corn, fifteen combinations were made to study the combining ability, heritability and path coefficient of 21 character. Main results were as follows:(1) The performance of main character: Negative over-parent heterosis was found on growing-period character. Positive over-parent heterosis was found on most of other agronomic character and quality character. With increase of days from 18 to 24 days after pollination, kernel soluble sugar content and moisture content were both gradually reduced, but kernel percent oil was gradually increased. The kernel percent oil during maturing period was risen as embryo percent oil, OSK (the other section of a kernel except embryo) percent oil and embryo weight ratio were risen in F1 generations.(2) The analyses of the combining ability and heritability: For five character — stem diameter, ear length, length of bald tip, embryo weight ratio and soluble sugar during miling period, only their Gca (General combining ability) variances were at extremely significant levels. Gca variances and Sca (Specific combining ability) variances of other sixteen character were at significant or extremely significant levels. And as observing values of these character were bigger, Gca effect values of parents and Sca effect values of hybrid combinations were both higher, or else they were both lower. Their Tca (Total combining abilities) were consistent with observing values of these character. There were differences at significant or extremely significant levels for Gca effects of kernel percent oil during maturing period among different parents or Sca effects of kernel percent oil during maturing period among different hybrid combinations. The six character—embryo weight ratio, kernel soluble sugar during miling period, kernel percent oil during maturing period, number of leaves, embryo oil ratio and OSK percent oil, their narrow-sense heritability and broad-sense heritability were all high, so these character could be selected at early generations.(3) The analyses of the correlations: For kernel percent oil during maturing period, there were not significantly positive correlations between kernel percent oil...
