Background and Objective: In recent years, because of the area environmentaldegradation and disease, and so on, the Ruditapes Philippines, relying on its notable characteristics of adaptability and esistance capacity, show the advantage of its strong culturem.it is already one of the most important shellfish in China. Compared to the ever-increasing in annual output, the Ruditapes Philippines still existing many of the problems to be solved in the culture, such as the lack of seed and quality, farming methods is backward and the frequent occurrence of diseases, et al. Diseases significantly impede the sustained development on Culture of Ruditapes Philippines . April 2007 in Zhangpu, a field in custody Ruditapes occurred disease, which main abnormal changes is that its meat color performance from normal into light green or dark gray, in order to facilitate research, now called "Green muscle disease" temporarily. Pathological changes and pathogenicity factors on "green muscle diease" of Ruditapes philippinarum was investigated . These studies are the foundation for further study of "green muscle diease" of Ruditapes philippinarum and provide a scientific basis for the fishery to formulate effective strategies to diagnosis and control "green muscle diease" of Ruditapes philippinarum.Methods:1.The histopathological changes of "green muscle diease" of Ruditapes philippinarum arestudied by means of routine parafinsection technique, with normal individuals ascontrol2.Eight Species of Bacteria strains were isolated from "green muscle diease" ofRuditapes philippinarum . The effects of bacteria on the "green muscle diease" ofRuditapes philippinarum were studyed by artificial infection test and identification ofbacteria. 3. This study investigates the effects of external factors on the "green muscle diease" of Ruditapes philippinarum. In this experiment, the deterioration of the external environment factors mainly include high value of COD , high ammonia concentration, differents values of PH, high concentrations of zinc ions. Many different clinical features were observed in these living condition .Various function is for indicators to catalase, lysozyme, alkaline phosphatase, etc. To investigate the influence of different external factors on various function indexes of Ruditapes philippinarum.Result:1.By observation, the ruditapes hadn't edema or wasting phenomenon. The main abnormalities was that meat color was darker, outlet pipe, gills appeared different degrees light green spots, gills was most obvious.Mantle on it than the health ruditapes was more easy peeling. The microscopic pathologic observed results showed that lesions was mainly for the gills and the pipe: small-gills gradual integration; the mucus cells increased abnormally in tissues of pipe; The particles of foreign body were found in different parts.Parasitic infection was not discovered with microscopic examination.2. Artificially infected test and bacterial identification shows that no bacteria can cause significant pathological changes on the Ruditapes philippines. Conclusion the bacteria may not be the primary etiology in "Green muscle disease".3. Experiments show that the deterioration of the external environment can damage immune function of Ruditapes Philippines. Various indicators of enzyme is reduced. The ruditapes which state in the situations of Subhealth are often slow, vulnerable to bacterial infection. Some Ruditapes philippinarum can be seen that meat color are darker than normal group, there are outside world suspended matters attachment on the Ruditapes philippines gills and outlet pipe. Conclusion:All the above constitutes the basic content of this paper. According to the above, the results preliminary showed that, the "Green muscle disease" of Ruditapes Philippines is a environmental illness which is caused by one environmental factor. External substances, for instance algae, stayed on gills and pipes but feeble clam can't discharged. It can be seen that gills and other plases changed into green.
