1. Germplasm resources of wild fruit trees in Fujian Province were studied according to the investigation and the related literatures in this paper. The result showed that there are 256 species and 26 varieties belonging to 82 genera and 44 families (mainly in Rosaceae, Rutaceae, Fagaceae, Vitaceae and Actinidiacaea), the name list of germplasm resources of wild fruit trees including 122 arbors, 114 shrubs, 38 lianas and 8 herbs was compiled, the prospects of development and the utilization of wild fruit trees, Choerospondias axillaries Burtt. were discussed in the article. Furthermore, the present status of rare and endangered wild fruit trees resources was analyzed, and some suitable protective strategies were provided.2. This paper described the distribution of the resources of axillary wildjujube, Choerospondias axillaries Burtt in Fujian Province , analyzed their existing problems such as resources scattered, small fruit, form high-yielding form scale difficultly and so on, and proposed solving techniques to selection of eminent strains and domestication cultivation of axillary wildjujube, C. axillaries. The distribution range of main quantitative characters of axillary wildjujube germplasm resources, coefficient of variation and distribution rule was obtained through measuring single fruit weight, single stone weight, vertical and horizontal diameters of fruit and stone, pericarp weight, fruit shape index, fruit stone index and edible rate of fruits from 38 individuals, the types of which were carried and divided.3. Through primary selection, axillary wildjujube 3 was selected as eminent individual for its high-yield (130 kg per plant), big fruit, above 3.41cm in length and 3.06 cm in width, 19.4 g in single fruit weight increased by 43.7% compared to the average fruit weight 13.5g, 1.2 cm in flesh thickness , 66. 41% in edible rate, 7.9% in soluble solids content, 6.9% in soluble sugar , 3.7% in titrated acid content , 74.0 mg·100g-l in vitamin C content, 2.47% in the content of water soluble pectin (WSP) and 3.25% in the total pectin (TP).4. Effects of grafting methods, height of stock, source of scion, the storage time of scion, and different date of graft etc on survival rate of axillary wildjujube were studied. In early March, while the height of stock reached 15-25 cm , one year eugenic shoots were selected as scion, which should be grafting as fresh as possible and should be grafted after being pared to reduce the exposure time in air, the joint of the scion and the stock were level and smooth, Thus, the grafting survival rate can reach 85% or more by cut grafting or side grafting. However, it is worth noting that Small plastic bags were set on the grafting seedling in order to water proof when grafting taken on rain day.
