Various kinds of agricultural pests have been one of the restrictive factors in the development of agriculture, and it has brought tremendous influence on crops and caused to a declining yields as well as food quality. Ecological equilibrium and environmental protection require an alternative method instead of chemical pesticides which are pollutive and residual in insect control.Insect control with high power microwave energy is an easily controlled new method founded on the base of the biological thermal effect. It characterised by rapid temperature increase and no-pollution. Insect's organic water molecule polarization and rotation is resulted from irradiation by high power microwave. Insects' body temperature increase rapidly in a short time, and when it reach a temperature point, protein denaturation can kill the pests. Plant leaf with high water content could be injured by the body temperature increase under the exposure of high power microwave, but it is different from the insects due to their physics thermal properties.This research study the death ration of the insects in green plant such as Cynodon dactylon and the grass leaves injury as well as recovery when they are under exposure of high power centimeter wave. Discovery of irradiation scheme that can not only kill insects but also make the grass recovery in a short time will be found in this research.At the first, we find a simple measurement of high power centimeter wave according to the dielectric properties and the propagation characteristic such as energy reflection ,transmission and absorption that determined by the proportional mass of paper and water. The incident microwave power density is determinded by the water evaporation in the material from above factors.The study found the temperature increase theory of the tem brio monitor further study indicated that the tem brio monitor would be injured if the body temperature goes to 45 Celsius and would be killed the insects when the temperature exceeds 45 Celsius.This research showed that the grass temperature increased more quickly than the insects when they are irradiated by high power centimeter wave, meanwhile grass temperature decrease more quickly than the insects when they are out of exposure. Grass injury and recovery mechanism are determined by the grass surface temperature, constant temperature time and the irradiation method.Temperature controlled irradiation scheme can kill the insects at a ratio of 90%, and injure the grass up to 15% but the grass can recover to normal state within 13 days.Finally, this research studied on the power absorption by the insect when it irradiated by microwave of 10GHz and 35GHz, and it provided the evidence for selection of the frequency in the microwave insect control.
