In this paper, breaking traditional methods on the mutation of edible fungi, Coprinus Comatus has been mutated by implanted with low-energy ion beam. The result shows:it has an evident effect, and has produced oppositely higher advantaged mutation rate and wider mutation spectrum. At the same time,it has proved that it is feasible to mutate Coprinus Comatus by implanting with low-energy ion beam. The biological effects of different doses nitrogen ion implantation on Coprinus Comatus were studied, the intention was to offer some important parameters for the Coprinus Comatus with good propoties and high yields. There was also some reference value for the scientifical study of edible mushroom breeding, moreover, the study will widen the application range of ion beam bioengineering in the edible microbe and the industrial microbe. In the paper, studies on submerged fermentation of Coprinus Comatus by measuring the extracellular polysaccharide and fermentation biomass, and the liquid fermentation medium and some other factors of Coprinus Comatus was optimized. Secondly, the best prescription constituents of solid medium to the mycelium growth of Coprinus Comatus was founded by orthogonality optimization experiment, the speed of Coprinus Comatus at optimum temperature was determined. Under these conditions, the Coprinus Comatus was implanted by nitrogen ion beam. The result shows the mycelium growth speed and fermentation biomass of Coprinus Comatus hypha presents a"W shape"curve, namely, the growth speed and fermentation biomass descends, then rises, again descends and again rises. Extracellular polysaccharide contents presents a"saddle shape"curve, which means that the extracellular polysaccharide contents descends first, rises then, and descends again. The hypha growth speed, extracellular polysaccharide and fermentation biomass of Coprinus Comatus implanted by dose of 6×1015N+/cm2 nitrogen ion beam were 16.69%,14.44% and 9.59% higher than that of the control strain. The advantaged mutation rate was high in this dose of the mycelial cells and the optimum ion implantation doses of 6×1015N+/cm2 nitrogen ion beam were ascertained. The average biotransformation rate for the fist fruit of J6 (implantation doses of 6×1015N+/cm2) was 24.84% higher than that of the control strain, the fruit cultivation periods was 5d shorter than that of the control strain. The average biotransformation rate for the fist fruit of J10 (implantation doses of 10×1015N+/cm2) was 23.95% lower than that of the control strain, the fruit cultivation periods was 15d longer than that of the control strain.
