Wheat stripe rust ,caused by Puccinia striiformis f.sp. tritici is one of the most important wheat diseases in the worldwide ,especially in China.Due to the lack of sexual stage in P. striiformis , using differential cultivars becomes the only way to identify the virulent genes of the pathogen . Most of differential hosts are important cultivars or important resistant materials.So they are not only the investigative basic of physiological specialization ,but also the primary researchful object of yellow rust resistance . The genetic analysis of resistance to stripe rust genes in wheat Heines peko and Mega ,mapping of Heines peko were investigated . The results as follow:1. Using the current epidemic yellow rust race CYR29 ,CYR30,CYR31, CYR32 and Su-4, Su-11, Su-14 inoculated to differential host Heines peko for identification of resistance. The results showed: Heines peko have good resistance to most of the current epidemic yellow rust race.2.The results of genetic analysis of Heines peko of resistance to stripe rust showed:(1) One recessive gene determines the resistance of Heines peko to race CYR30.(2) Single dominant gene and recessive gene determine the resistance of Heines peko to races CYR31 and Su-4.(3) Two recessive gene determine the resistance of Heines peko to race CYR32.3. A SSR marker, Barc212 on the 2AS, was associated with Yrhp . The genetic distance between Yrhp and Barc212 was about 10.6 cM . Therefore , Barc212 could be used as molecular marker assisted selection for Yrhp .4. The current epidemic yellow rust race CYR29 ,CYR30,CYR31, CYR32 and Su-4, Su-11, Su-14 were inoculated to Mega for identification of resistance . The results showed : Mega resist most of the current epidemic yellow rust race and have good resistance.(1) One recessive gene determines the resistance of Mega to races CYR30 and CYR31.(2) Single dominant gene and recessive gene determine the resistance of Mega to races CYR32,Su-4,Su-14. At present, Heines peko are most used as differential host,but it also resist many races . Heines peko carry the genes Yr2 , Yr6 and Yr25 . Yr2 and Yr6 were located on chromosome 7B and Yr25 was located on chromosome 1D. Now Yrhp was located in 2AS. Comparison of known gene in the 2AS ,the results suggested this gene is different from known resistance gene to stripe rust. So Yrhp maybe is a new resistance gene to yellow rust . Heines peko has good resistantance to most of the current epidemic yellow rust race . Mega resist most of the current epidemic yellow rust race in China and has good resistance . So this is important for revealing new resistant genes and wheat breeding program.
