In this paper, according to the design procedure of micro-irrigation projects and programs running characteristics of computers, a system framework of micro-irrigation CAD is built by application of technology of software interfaces Windows ActiveXN Dynamic Data Exchange,Engine and database whose functions include: simulation of terrains boundary determination of plant fields configuration of micro-irrigation piping network and hydraulic calculation of the piping networks Exportation of implement drawing and primary materials of micro-irrigation system.And software is developed by this framework which utilized to micro-irrigation projects design.Micro-Irrigation Design System-1.0 software, which connect software of MATLABs Visual Basic or Visual Basic for Application,Auto CAD,Accesss Excel through methods of making programs. Automotive configuration of micro-irrigation piping network and hydraulic calculation and drawing of micro-irrigation project are obtained by this software and all process is completely depended on computer.In this software, an executive file is made by Visual Basic which as control center. Configuration of micro-irrigation network and Hydraulic calculation of piping is obtained by MATLAB programs through DDE technology that control by this center in form of command transmission and calculation results is exported by MATLAB in form of ASCII files. Results are got by reading ASCII files and implement drawing is drew base on those Results in control center. Main material statistics of micro-irrigation network and table of Main material exportation are brought about by application of engine and database that supported by Access software.In MIDS-1.0 software, information interchange between persons and computers become realized and intervention of persons to material statistic process and results are strengthened. Application of MIDS-1.0 to design micro-irrigation project can be extremely decrease the quantity of designing person calculation and drawing, moreover, Accuracy of calculation and drawing is remarkable raised compare with calculation and drawing by hands. Micro-irrigation projects designing and drawing effectiveness can be enhanced by the computer aided engineering technology so that this technology has a practical value for engineering.
