rbcL gene sequence of Ulva pertusa, Enteromorpha prolifera and Monostroma grevillei were sequenced. 5.8S rRNA gene sequence of Ulva pertusa, Enteromorpha prolifera and Monostroma grevillei were sequenced. 18S rRNA gene sequence of Ulva pertusa, Enteromorpha prolifera and Monostroma latissimum were sequenced. ITS gene sequence of Enteromorpha prolifera and Monostroma grevillei were sequenced. The sequences were aligned using Clustal X1.8 computer program, then used to calculated distance matrix with Kimuras two-parameter method and construct phylogenetic trees by applying Neighbor-Joining and Maximum Parsimony analyses using MEGA 3.1compute program. Bootstrap analyses were carried out to evaluate statistical reliability based on 1000 resamplings of the data set. This paper discusses DNA extraction of marine algae, method of constructing phylogenetic tree, relationship of Ulva and Enteromorpha, taxonomic status of Enteromorpha Linza and Enteromorpha prolifera, genetic relationship of Monostroma grevillei, Monostroma nitidum and Monostroma latissimum, genetic relationship of Monostroma angicava, Monostroma arcticum and Monostroma grevillei. Ulva and Enteromorpha are not distinct genera, Enteromorpha linza and Enteromorpha prolifera are included in Ulva, Enteromorpha intestinalis and Enteromorpha compressa are different species, Monostroma arcticum and Monostroma grevillei are same species, Monostroma angicava and Monostroma arcticum are different species.
