In this trial suitable cultivation medium was studied on organic substrate culture in solar greenhouse planting Momordica charantia L as treatments material which were include six : medium A was perlite: chicken's muck = 3:1(volume ratio, it's the same as followed), medium B was perlite: chicken's muck = 4:1, medium C was perlite: chicken's muck = 5:1, medium D was soil to be a control, medium E was peat: perlite: chicken's muck = 2:2:1, medium F was peat: chicken's muck = 4:1.Furthermore ,we studied character of fertilization requirement in organic substrate culture and the five treatments were that T1 was high fertilization (36.60kg/667m2 urea+32.10kg/667m2 potassium sulfate), T2 was middle fertilization (22.70kg/667m2 urea+19.90kg/667m2 potassium sulfate), T3 was low fertilization (10.52kg/667m2 urea+9.24kg/667m2 potassium sulfate), T4 was zero fertilization , T5 was normal soil culture as control (14.00kg/667m2 urea+14.00kg/667m2 diammonium biphosphate+14.00kg/667m2 potassium sulfate) and effect on different treatments to the Momordica charantia L. growth, physiological property, yielding, quality, nutrition absorbing, nutrition partition law and nutrition utilization rate in order to supplied theoretical base and technological index to chemical fertilization of organic substrate culture.1. The study on suitable medium of organic substrate culture showed that in medium A and B Momordica charantia L grew well and had high vigor of root, quality and yield, there was no difference to yield between those two mediums. If chicken's muck was cheaper than perlite, medium A should be chosen; if perlite was not cheaper than chicken's muck, medium B should be chosen...2. The study on character of fertilization requirement in organic substrate culture of Momordica charantia L showed that:2.1 There were high in the characters of plant height, leaf amount and leaf area in the treatments of high and middle fertilizations which had no significant deviation in good bearing habits and laid a foundation of high yield.2.2 There was the highest photosynthetic rate of 19.066μmo1CO2.m-2.s-1 in lobus superior of high fertilization, there was the highest photosynthetic rate of 19.306μmo1CO2.m-2.s-1 in lobus centralis of middle fertilization; there was higher transpiration rate in lobus superior of high fertilization than that of low fertilization and no significant deviation between them.2.3 The amount of Vc and soluble protein were 645.30ug.g-1FW and 21.41mg.g-1FW respectively in high fertilization, then the amount of Vc and soluble protein were 654.20ug.g-1 FW and 19.56mg.g-1FW respectively in middle fertilization. There were higher yielding significantly in high and middle fertilization than other treatments and there was no significant deviation between the two.The middle fertilization was suitable to the organic substrate culture of Momordica charantia L in production.
