The cucumber seedling were induced by copolymer of chlorine and potassium ions with 1.0% and 1.5% concentration, water was check (CK),at the stage of cotyledon and the first true leaf ,then the activities of chitinase andβ-1,3-glucanase were measured and the diagram of proteins, chitinase isozyme,β-1,3-glucanase isozyme were analyzed, which were pathogenesis-related proteins.The main results were as follows:1. Chitinase andβ-1,3-glucanase's activities were the highest in cucumber seed.After induced the activities of chitinase andβ-1,3-glucanase in the cucumber seedling,increased firstly and then decreased. The highest activities of chitinase appeared in the fifteenth day after induced of 1.0% concentration,that was 0.0980 u/g,and appeared in the eleventh day after induced of 1.5% concentration,that was 0.1110 u/g. The highest activities ofβ-1 , 3-glucanase appeared in the fifth day after induced of 1.0% concentration,that was 1.0130 u/g,and appeared in the third day after induced of 1.5% concentration,that was 1.1200 u/g .It was firstly to the highest that activity of 1.5% concentration treatment than 1.0% concentration's, and 1.5% concentration had the higher activity than the 1.0% concentration.Activities of chitinase andβ-1,3-glucanase after induced,both 1.0% and 1.5% concentrations,were all higher than that of check. The check had not evidenced change.2. After SDS-PAGE, the most bands of proteins, chitinase andβ-1,3-glucanase were appeared in the cucumber's seed.The first day to the twenty-seventh day after induced, four new proteins bands, which molecular weight were 100.6KD,91.1 KD,36.1KD and 26.8KD; three new chitinase bands, which molecular weight were 31.3KD,25.6KD and 22.4KD; three newβ-1 , 3-glucanase bands, which molecular weight were 49.5KD,43.3KD and 33.1KD were appeared in the cucumber's leaf.Thess new proteins bands were Pathogenesis-related proteins that related with induced disease resistance of cucumber to the downy mildew.
