The optimum protein requirement and energy/protein ratio for Pelteobagrus fulvidraco juvenile(mean body weight,4.7±0.6g) were determined using practical diets in a 62 days trial.Three protein levels(35%,40%and 45%) and two energy levels(15 MJ.kg-1 and 16 MJ.kg-1) were tested. Results show that, based on ratio of weight gain, feed conversion ratio, protein efficient rate and condition factor, the optimum diet protein content for juvenile Pelteobagrus fulvidraco is 41.47%~43.38%,optional energy/protein ratio is 40.17.When fed with the diet containing 40.38%of protein and 16.22 MJ.kg-1 energy, the juvenile got the highest weight gain ratio(132.93%),protein efficiency ratio(1.14) and condition factor(176%),and the lowest feed conversion ratio(2.17).The optimum requirement of calcium and phosphorus and calcium/phosphorus ratio in diets for Pelteobagrus fulvidraco juvenile(mean body weight,4.38±0.69g) were determined using practical diets in a 64 days trial.Four phosphorus levels(1.3%,1.6%, 1.9%and 2.2%) and two calcium levels(2.5%and 3.0%) were tested. Results show that the optimum content of phosphorus in the diet is 1.67%~1.78%,the effects of the content of calcium and calcium/phosphorus ratio to weight gain ratio and feed conversion ratio are unconspicuous. The highest weight gain ratio(295%) were observed in the juvenile fed with the diet containing 1.67%phosphorus,and the lowest feed conversion ratio(1.95) were obtained in the group of the diet with 1.78%phosphoru content. The diet containing 40%of protein and 8%of lipid with total eicosapentaenic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenic acid(DHA)levels(expressed by percentage in total fatty acid level) and n-3/n-6 ratio(adjusted by supplemented with different levels of fish oil, peanut oil, corn oil and sesame oil ) of 1.507,0.178;6.801,0.568;11.402,0.827;17.887,1.224; 22.054,1.838 respectively. The fish fed the dietⅢ(containing 11.402%of EPA and DHA in total lipid and n-3/n-6 ratio 0.827) had the maximal WG(135.83%)and PER(155.20%),while dietⅠ,dietⅢand dietⅣ(with percentage of EPA and DHA in total lipid and n-3/n-6 ratio of 1.507,0.178;11.402,0.827;17.887,1.224 respectively),had lowest FC(1.57,1.63,1.69),.With increase in percentage of EPA and DHA in total lipid and n-3/n-6 ratio, moisture and n-3 fatty acid levels and n-3/n-6 ratio in muscle, gut, and hepapancrase increased while the protein and n-6,n-9 fatty acid levels decreased. The fish fed feed containing 18C:2n-6/18:3n-3 ratio of 8~9 and 8%dietary lipid composed of 53.8%peanut oil, 35.0%corn oil,11.2%sesame oil or 41.2%fish oil,33.8%peanut oil,7.5%corn oil, 17.5%sesame oil,had the maximal WG and PER.
