The influence of feeding effect of cornstalk to sheep was studied significantly which were fed by diet mainly composed by cornstalk and with different cation-antion balance according to the production situation of field crops in HeNan province and to take full advantage of cornstalk which is widespread and cheap. The formula of DCAB=[Na+]+[K+]-[Cl-]meq/100gDM was used to calculate Dietary Cation-Antion Balance(DCAB), which were 0,15 and 30 meq/100gDM regulated by adding NH4Cl. 6 chosen sheep were divided into three groups-A, B and C-adopting the method of 3×3 Latin square experimental design under the condition of feeding almostly equal quantities of primary index- CP, ME, Ca and P and the influence of Total Mixed Ration with three DCAB on digestive metabolism and parameters of plasma of sheep fed a cornstalk and Alfalfa Based diet. The objective of this dissertation is to evaluate the optimal DCAB level comprehensively and to offer fundamental technological grounds for the of nutritious engineering of effective utilization of cornstalk. The result of digestive metabolism experiment relected as follows,①the DM digestibility, NDF digestibility, ADF digestibility of B were obvious higher than the other two groups A and C(P<0.05).②when the DCAB value was 15meq/100gDM, the deposit rate of nitrogen was the highest, which was advantaged to the utilization of protein.③t he Ca digestibility of B were significant higher than A(P<0.05). There were not significant difference between other two groups(P>0.05). There were not significant influence on P digestibility(P>0.05). The Na digestibility of C is notably different with A and B, but B was obvious higher than A and C(P<0.05). As the level of DCAB increasing, the Na digestibility and depositability were presented raising tendency and the K digestibility was not influenced evidently. The amount of Cl discharge from urine of C was significantly different with A and B(P<0.05).The results of plasmal parameters suggested that as the level of DCAB increasing, there were not significant difference between each two groups(P>0.05);Concentrations of PUN changed obviously(P<0.05),compared to A and C, B decreased 24% and 26% respectively; Contrary to the PUN, the total albumen of plasma present no distinct differenc(eP>0.05); there were not significant influence on the concentration of Ca, P of blood plasma(P>0.05), but the concentration of Ca decreased gradually, while the concentration of P of B was the highest value, A took the second place , C was the lowest. In conclusion, the digestive metabolism, nitrogen metabolism and plasmal parameters of sheep were influenced as they were fed by diet mainly composed by cornstalk and with different cation-antion balance. The optimal DCAB is 15meq/ 100gDM at the range of 0,15 and 30meq/ 100gDM under my experimental condition.
