The soil-landscape model is one kind of prediction model, used to obtain the soil type and its spatial distribution or the soil nature and its tendency description from the landscape essential factor observed result. The present stage has carried out the massive soil-landscape model study, take hilly area or mountainous area as main research region, the topographic factor often takes the most important landscape essential factor, but in the plain cultivation area the relevant research work are few. Due to human activities on the soil of the growing impact in some areas more than other soil factors , in particular on the impact of surface soil, The soil- landscape has the new differentiation. The soil basic unit classification based on China soil taxonomy Pays great attention to the soil series and the landscape relations,and communicates the soil classification and the land utilization as bridge, therefore under the plain cultivation landscape condition, the research of soil basic unit classification-landscape model has the important theory significance and the research value.By using such methods and technology as geographic information system, the remote sensing technique and investigation. this paper carries out following researches, which selected Liutang Branch of Houhu Farm in Jianghan Plain as the research area. the agriculture cropping system, the road system, the hydrology condition, the topographic factor and the soil basic unit classification's relationship was posted; the cropping system, the path, the hydrology, the terrain four kind of landscape essential factor were withdrawn; the soil basic unit classification landscape model was established finally. The main conclusions of the research are summarized as follows:1.By using such methods and technology as geographic information system, the remote sensing technique, the farming systems, roads, water and other landscape elements were withdrawn.This research synthetically applies GIS and the RS technology,and obtain the research area cropping system, the manufacture cropping system district chart according to cadastre data, the planter crops per unit area yield, the total output computation; using the remote sensing phantom data takeoff research area path and the hydrology distributes(Main performance for drainage ditch); the path influence graduation chart and network of rivers and lakes density graduation chart were manufactured by using density analysis and buffer analysis computation; The elevation information was extracted and the topographical feature district chart was manufactured by using digitized topographic diagram. These research technique's application is one kind of attempt about soil basic unit classification - landscape model research in the plain cultivation area, also propose one kind of new mentality for the next research plain to the soil basic unit classification -landscape model research in the plain cultivation area2.The soil basic unit classification-landscape probability statistical model was established.According to the statistical analysis about the various soil type's area proportion under same landscape type and the calculation of the soil type distributed probability under various landscapes types, establish the soil basic unit classification-landscape probability statistical model, which accurately described the relationship between the plain cultivation area landscape type and the soil basic unit classification.Carry on the estimate to the soil basic unit classification's distributed probability under the situation with known about landscape type, The result explain that the soil basic unit classification and the landscape type has the strong relevance.This research Proposed the new range of study for the soil basic unit classification -landscape model study, which selected the Plain cultivation area as the research area. By using formidable data processing and the spatial analysis function of GIS and RS, this research extract and analysis these landscape essential factor ,which are cropping system, the path, the drainage ditch and so on, and obtains the landscape types. All these research provide the extraction and analysis of the landscape essential factor on plain cultivation area with the reference ,and reduce the workload of the investigation, raised the working efficiency. To explore the relationship between soil type and the type of landscape and to establish the soil basic unit classification-landscape model will provide study of soil basic unit classification - landscape model on Plain cultivation area the reference.
