| With traditional investigation and analysis method, the landscape pattern researching is often limited by various factors, such as the manpower, the physical resource and the natural condition and so on. Combining the high-resolution remote sensing image and the geographic information system to obtain basic landscape pattern data will be faster, accurate and highly effective. In recent years, with the widespread utilization of high resolution data of QuickBird image, a finer information source for the landscape research has been provided, and it is possibly to carry on the fine scale- landscape research with the remote sensing data.This research mainly uses the QuickBird image data, combined with other study information, the remote sensing, the global positioning system and the geographic information system are adopted as the main technical method, and Naya Village Ceheng county Guizhou Province was taken as an example, and focus on the landscape information acquisition method and landscape pattern. It is a successful landscape pattern research attempt with advanced method, comprehensive process and fine scale. The main contents and results of this research are summarized as follows:(1) Refers to "Land utilization Present situation Investigation Technology Regulations" issued by the State as the land taxonomy and considering special details of research area, the landscape type system was established; landscape types was divided into 8 elements of first grade, they are:farmland, orchard, forest land, grassland, residential land, transportation land, water area and other unused land. Further more, many types pertaining to lower grade such as second, third, and fourth grade landscapes element types are divided.(2)Compared with the traditional method, "multi-scale man-machine interactive zoning and interpreting" was selected to be the essential method, in the landscape element type information acquisition process.
