Litter size trait is known a most important economic trait,which highly associates with economic efficiency of the goat industry.The traditional methods of selection for increase in litter size are limited mainly because of the low heritability, and also,the genetic progress of it is therefore unstable and slow.With the development of molecular techniques,the developing MAS/MAI strategy and technique provide new opportunities for the genetic improvement in reproductive traits.In this study,microsatellite markers were chosen to analyze the genetic polymorphism of 200 of adult female Boer goat.And the microsatellite markers were found correlate with litter size of Boer goat,which would provide molecule proof for breeding Boer goat of high productivety.There were two parts in this study and the specific result as follow:1.The polymorphism of sheep's microsatellite marker and the correlation with litter size of Boer goat.Five microsatellite markers BM1329,BM143,OarHH55, TGLA68,and LSCV043,which were closely linked to the fecundity gene FecB and FecX in ovis aries sheep,were chosen based on their high conservatism in the close species and another 4 microsatellite markers ETH225,INRA063,BM1225,and MAF0214 were selected to analyze their correlation with the litter size of Boer goat. All of them were high polymorphism locus(PIC>0.5).Three of them,i.e.,120 bp and 108 bp of BM 143,183 bp of ETH225,were positively correlated to first parity litter size of Boer goat.Eight alleles,i.e.,216 bp of BM1329,110 bp of BM143, 255 bp and 239 bp of BM1225,175bp,177 bp and189 bp of INRA063,and 163 bp of ETH225,had negative correlation with first parity litter size.One allele,i.e., 115 bp of TGLA68,were positively correlated to second parity litter size.2.The polymorphism of goat's microsatellite marker and the correlation with litter size of Boer goat.Eight microsatellite markers INRA040,LSCV22,LSCV37, IDVGA64,FCB011,INRA129,SRCRSP10 and CSSM47 were chosen from chromosome 2 and 8 to analyze their correlation with the litter size of Boer goat.All of them were high polymorphism locus(PIC>0.5).One of them,i.e.,189 bp of LSCV22,were positively correlated to first parity litter size of Boer goat.Four of them,i.e.,179 bp and 191 bp of LSCV22,273 bp and 303 bp of SRCRSP10,had negative correlation with first parity litter size.Six of them,i.e.,189 bp of LSCV22,281 bp,283 bp and 245 bp of IDVGA64,143 bp and 165 bp of FCB011,were positively correlated to second parity litter size.
