| The author intended to find some suitable tree species,based on the investigation on vegetation,soil physical and chemical characters,site types of secondary forest communities and plantation forest communities on Limestone Mountains.The experiment sites were distributed into 17 counties and cities of Anhui Province.The research results could help for speeding up the a forestation in barren mountains,enhancing the productivity of forest,providing a new way to protect and resume the existing natural secondary community of limestone mountain area.The forest communities in Limestone Mountain in 17 counties or cities within Anhui Province were investigated and researched in the paper.The results showed that:(1) The natural secondary community in northern of Anhui was divided into 2 vegetation subtypes,8 formations and 13 associations.The tree species such as Quercus variabilis,Castanea mollissuna,Quercus acutissima,Platycladus orientalis,Pteroceltis tatarinowii,Pyrus betulaefolia,paulownia tomentosa ect.Were the dominant dominant tree species of this eare.(2) The natural secondary community in middle of Anhul province was divided into 2 vegetation subtypes,11 formations and 11 associations.The results showed that family of Ulmaceae such as Pteroceltis tatarinowii,Zelkova Schneideriana,Celtis tetrandra,Umus chenmoui,Ulmus gaussenii etc.were dominant to planting in the limestone area of middle of Anhui.(3) The natural secondary community in middle of Anhui was divided into 3 vegetation subtypes,12 formations and 22 associations.The tree species such as Quercus acutissima,Liquidamba formsana,Pistacia chinesis,Pinus massoniana,Pinus elliottii, Platycladus orientalis,Juniperus formosana,Pteroceltis tatarinowii ect.were the dominant species for southern of Anhui.(4) The soil types and the site types in those three areas were also investigated.The limestone mountains in north of Anhui could be divided into thin layer group and intermediate layer group,totally 8 site types.The limestone mountains in the middle Anhui could be divided into thin layer group and intermediate layer group,and thick layer group. in a total of 7 site types.The limestone mountains in south of Anhui could be also divided into thin layer group,intermediate layer group,and thick layer group,of total 7 site types.(5) Based on the economical and ecological characteristics and the environment of the communities,proper species were selected for the three regions.The results showed that the tree species like Quercus variabilis,Castanea mollissuna,Quercus acutissima, Platycladus orientalis,Pteroceltis tatarinowii,Pyrus betulaefolia,paulownia tomentosa sect.were the suitable species of north Anhui Province.Family of Ulmaceae such as Pteroceltis tatarinowii,Zelkova Schneideriana,Celtis tetrandra,Umus chenmoui,Ulmus gaussenii etc.were the suitable tree species for the limaston area of middle of Anhui.The tree species of Quercus acutissima,Liquidamba formsana,Pistacia chinesis,Pinus massoniana,Pinus elliottii,Platycladus orientalis,Juniperus formosana,Pteroceltis tatarinowii ect.were the suitable tree species for south of Anhui Province. |
