The Gerbera jamesonii produces originally south Africa.It is one of the five cut flower in the world.It has high economic efficiency and brod market prospect. There has massive cultivations in Hunan area and the arid area of the north,but the production cost is high.The warm,moist and illumination sufficient climate are suitable for it,but in cultivation the obvious Hunan seasonal variation,uneven precipitation in summer,indefinite of the dry or waterlogging,and the rain obviously reduces in fall and winter would potentially make a tremendous damage.With the aim for the identification of Gerbera jamesonii in drought seasons of Hunan and drought area.Four cultivars of Gerbera jamesonii were used as materials under the different relative air moisture(80%,60%,40%),the different PEG Concentrations (5%,10%,15%,20%,25%) in this study,and physiologic and biochemical change under heat and humidity treatment were studied.The main result were as follows:1.The greatest tolerable concentration to PEG of four breed Gerbera jamesonii respectively is:Da Di:33%>Ai Guozhe:31%>Luo Si:28%>Meng Long:27%.2.Uses the relative water content,the appearance of the water,the proline,the soluble sugar,the soluble protein,SOD and POD activeness,MDA,the relative conductivity these 9 physiology biochemistry target,has appraised the different relative air humidity,the different PEG density processing next 4 flameray gerbera variety drought resistance.The result showed that,leaf blade's relative water content and the leaf blade appearance of the water presents the drop along with the arid coercion aggravation the tendency,the proline and the soluble sugar performance for the rise tendency,the soluble protein performance for falls the tendency which - rises -to fall.POD and the SOD activeness assumes the tendency after the arid coercion aggravation which drops first rises,MDA and the relative conductivity all presents for the rise tendency.Lowes and dimly has the big difference in the majority target change and the patriot and the big emperor,also indicates the patriot and the big emperor's drought resistance relative strong.3.Using 9 physiological biochemistry target under the different relative air humidity,20%PEG density processing has appraised 4 flameray gerbera variety drought resistance,and to supplied with the principal components analytic method and the subordination function method to try the material 9 physiological biochemistry target which obtained under 20%PEG density processing to carry on the quality synthetic evaluation.The result showed that,the big emperor's drought resistance is strongest,patriot next,Lowes and dim weak,the appearance of the water, Pro,the soluble sugar,POD,MDA and the relative conductivity can respond the flameray gerbera drought-resistant ability well.And acted according to under the different relative air humidity the D value to carry on the linear correlation analysis, obtained between the relative air humidity and the drought resistance has certain relevance,thought the humidity achieved in the sky when above 60%,might alleviate the soil the arid coercion,thus reduced the arid coercion to adult plant's injury.
