The pumkin(C.moschata D.) is one of the earliest crops that human beings cultivated. It is varied and is one of the most variable crops.Its complex heredity regulation (compared with other crops) and fewer researches add to the difficulties of high quality breeding.It is very complex to measure the quality characters which are measured visually in the field.In the early generations' choices of pumpkin breeding.It results in a great deal of work if all the characters of each strain are measured.Understanding the correlation between different characters can easily achieve rapid and credible screening of the large number of breeding materials through easy measurement and fewer samples to get the characters norm.All these are undoubtedly of great significance to the pumpkin breeding practice.Therefore,this experiment is base on pumpkin for the purpose of finding out the relativity between 7 main nutrients through researching the relativity between multi-nutrients inside pumpkin,and also combines field production to instruct breeding.The main research results t are as follows:1.Pumpkin has not only a variety of external morphological variation,but also great disparity in their internal nutritional quality.As a result,not every kind of pumpkin have the same nutrition and health functions.Therefore,the breeding target in the future will mainly base on a certain nutritional Component or several ones and the varieties for a special purpose will be bred.2.During 7 major nutritional quality traits in pumpkin varieties,except to crude fiber and organic acids,carotenoid is closely related to other 4 nutritional quality traits, especially to total saccharide and vitamin C.Pumpkin dry material is closely related to carotenoid,total saccharide and organic acid,especially to vitamin C and protein.The connection between Pumpkin vitamin C and protein is mostly closer and the correlation coefficient reaches 0.84.The connection among pumpkin crude fiber and other 6 nutritional qualities haven't reached significant levels,and pumpkin crude fiber has minus correlation with carotenoid and vitamin C.Organic acid has closely correlation with dry materials but has no closely correlation with other 5 nutritional qualities.3.The pumpkin combination D-001×D-012 not only has a good vitamin C content,the content of carotenoids,total sugar content and so on which results in higher nutritive and more healthy,but also has the characters of vigorous growth,easy to fruiting,high quality, same size fruit and big one,basiclly no abnoral fruit,strong anti-Disease,being able to bear long storage and delivering which are showed after certain experiment.
