| Two experiments was conducted to study the effect of six kinds of feedstuffs on the availability of energy and nitrogen of Poodle dogs,in addition to study the protein requirement of adult dogs.Experiment 1:The study of some feedstuffs on the availability of energy and nitrogen of Poodle dogs. This study was carried out to investigate the wheat, corn, soybean meal(SBM),rice bran(RB),fish meal(FM) and Pork flakes meal on the utilization of energy and nitrogen of Poodle dogs. The difference method and self-control design were adopted in the experiment. A total of 8 dogs at 2-year-old (average body weight was about 22kg) were randomly allocated into 2 groups on the basis of weight with 4 replicates and one dog in each replicate. Four digestion-metabolism trials were used in each two group, the dietary treatments were:basal diet 1,75% basal diet1+25% wheat,75% basal diet1+25% SBM,75% basal diet1+25% FM and basal diet 2,75% basal diet2+25% corn,75% basal diet2+25% RB,75% basal diet2+25% Pork flakes meal. The results showed that:⑴The apparent digestibility of dry matter of FM was higher(P<0.05) or significantly higher(P<0.01) than other feedstuffs in Poodle dogs; The difference among wheat,RB and Pork flakes meal in apparent digestibility of dry matter were not significant(P>0.05); The difference among corn and SBM in apparent digestibility of dry matter were not significant(P>0.05),they were all higher(P<0.05) or significantly higher(P<0.01) than RB,wheat and Pork flakes meal.⑵The difference among wheat,FM and SBM in apparent digestibility of nitrogen were not significant(P>0.05),they were all higher(P<0.05) or significantly higher(P<0.01) than RB,corn and Pork flakes meal; The apparent digestibility of nitrogen of Pork flakes meal was significantly higher(P<0.01) than corn and RB; The apparent digestibility of nitrogen of RB was significantly higher(P<0.01) than corn. The apparent metabolism of nitrogen of wheat was significantly higher(P<0.01) than other feedstuffs in Poodle dogs; The difference among FM and SBM in apparent metabolism of nitrogen were not significant(P>0.05),they were all significantly higher(P<0.01) than corn,RB and Pork flakes meal; The apparent metabolism of nitrogen of Pork flakes meal was significantly higher(P<0.01) than corn and RB; The apparent metabolism of nitrogen of Pork flakes meal was significantly higher(P<0.01) than corn and RB; The apparent metabolism of nitrogen of corn was significantly lower(P<0.01) than RB.⑶The ADE,AME of FM were significantly higher(P<0.01) than other feedstuffs in Poodle dogs and the ADE,AME of Pork flakes meal were lowest(P<0.05) ;The difference among wheat, corn and SBM in ADE,AME were not significant(P>0.05);The ADE,AME of RB in Poodle dogs were lower or significantly lower than wheat and SBM,and the difference among RB and corn were not significant(P>0.05).Experiment 2:The study of protein requirement of adult dogs. This study was carried out to determine the protein requirement and digestible protein requirement of adult Poodle dogs fed dry-type diets containing three different level of protein. A single factorial arrangement of treatments was adopted in the experiment.Twelve Poodle dogs(average body weight were about 22kg) of 2 years old were allotted at random(four pertreatment) to three rations. The feeding trial was lasted for 20 days, including preliminary trial period (4 days) and test period(16 days). The results showed that Positive correlation was presented between consumed nitrogen and retained nitrogen(r=0.974, P=0.145),and there appeared significant correlation between digested nitrogen and retained nitrogen(r=0.998,P=0.043). It indicates that adult Poodle dogs required 67.28g/d protein(10.76g/d nitrogen)or require 39.66g/d digestible protein (6.35g/d digestible nitrogen). |
